So, question for everyone, specially for the most experienced fapstronauts, whenever I go NoFap mode, in a matter of 5-6 days, I start to get anger issues, short temper, and it tends to scalate as time pass, usually leading me to relapse just to "calm down".

After having some thinking about it, I though, hey, maybe you are just not happy with your circunstances, and when you are opium free, you start to get pissed about it.

Any thoughs? Anyone can relate? Is just me?

Whether we are on Nofap or not, we can't deny that relapses ( Ejaculation) releases endorphins, therefore we feel more relaxed physically.

Do you do any sports? That could help vent off.

I actually just wrote about this in my journal.

I experience the same, actually. After a short while on a streak my anger really goes up by a lot. I've done relatively long streaks (past 100 days) and the anger wouldn't subside.

I would read others' journals or success stories and was wondering what was going on and why I was still feeling very agitated/angry, although I did nonetheless experience a lot of good benefits nonetheless.

But I've come to realize that the anger/agitation is not a symptom of abstaining, ie it's not PAWS, but by stopping my self-medication on dopamine it just laid unresolved anger issues bare. This is actually a relatively new revelation for me, and it's been simultaneously painful but good. It means I have A LOT more work to do than just abstaining from porn, but really really need to strive to face some pretty bad demons and dealing with them.

And as a caveat I'm apt to say; this is just my story/situation. You're still pretty new into your current streak, so it could just be PAWS and those emotions will subside. But, if they persist and persist, it might be time to take a deep look into what's driving them, which is an opportunity for even greater growth.

I agree with this advice. Center yourself through physicality. Train martial arts, lifting and/or sports. When you are physically exhausted from training, it puts all these urges and emotions in perspective.

Lots of guys, for example, are drawn to Stoicism philosophy. However, you cannot accomplish being stoic through reading books. You need to be exposed to and then overcome repeated physical stress.
