Guys I was having thoughts the other day and was thinking how much of a better place life would be without porn. I haven’t committed any crimes personally due to porn but this has to be a factor, I have slept with girls knowing damn well I don’t care for them and not gonna see them again which is not me or what I’m about and left me feeling awful! My point is that the decisions that are made due to porn can be negative ultimately it’s your decision, yeah but these urges are amplified by the use of porn and although mine aren’t awful I imagine in others that aren’t caring or bothered by people these urges are somewhat more sinister due to porn.

I analysed my own life and the lives of others around me and the poor decisions and risks it has lead me and them to make would not have been there without porn and I can’t help but think when I saw the “being watched now” section on the websites I visited every day and seeing what sort of stuff everyone was viewing how much porn actually influences crime rates, I’d love to see some studies!

what do I mean by crime, I’m
Talking along the lines of rape, abuse, domestic violence, peadophilia... hearing a lot about this one lately and many more! there is a reason that this is a sin and I’m not religious. If they knew back then this was a no go there is definitely some substance to it.

if porn wasn’t a thing. imagine the respect people would have for themselves and the respect we would have for women and women for men! I feel the world could be transformed into an all round better place if porn was either banned or not so easily accessible. And realised for what it is and artificial high when in theory you are getting off over someone else.

I think this problem and this addiction runs deep within our society a lot of people unknowingly addicted and unknowingly ruining their moods and contributing to ill mental health. Porn is promoted in such a positive way in our society and I really believe it shouldn’t be for future generations.

Im interested in your thoughts and how you think the world would be a better place without porn? And the overall impact you feel this would have on individuals and society as a whole.

Sorry if I’m in the wrong section only my third post

  4. Disagree. I think you're idealizing way too much. It might be better for you, but it's selfish to assume that it would be better for everyone.

It’s all speculation but you have to agree if you have viewed p*** on websites and see what a lot of people are “currently viewing” it is massively disturbing I’m not saying this is every man who watches porn but would definitely be a contributing factor to the wrong mindset, and ideologies towards others.

Things titled like “young girl gets f*****” .. “forced fantasies” bro that is literally fantasising over scripted rape you have to admit porn could definitely contribute to people’s lust for illicit behaviour as well. Instead of saying I’m being selfish. All I’m saying is I believe there is definitely a link and me thinking the world or hoping the world would be better does not make me selfish.

I see it as alternative way in which we should investigate porn and the effects of porn and the dark road a lot of criminals admit to going down. Porn affects people differently and scientifically effects the brain in negative fashions similar to a cocaine addiction.

I do strongly believe that life would be better if porn was not abused or so readily available to others. from my own experience it has been nothing but negative for my mental health, relationships. all be it I was told it was a healthy act.

  6. We can be more specific and say that the world would be better without porn addiction, exploitation from the porn industry, coercion and rape, etc. I will join you in the fight against those things.

Agreed but I think the term porn addiction is underused and a lot More people are addicted and not realising This

  8. Sure, so let's share NoFap with as many people as we can. The current status-quo is the denial that porn can be consumed in harmful amounts, so we have a lot of work to do before we commit to banning it.

  9. Speaking as a sex addict, I can say that life would be much better without porn. It is a lot more addictive than it was twenty years ago and as a result it can quickly lead to unwanted and problematic sexual behaviour.
But then again not everyone looking at porn will get addicted to it (though it can cause problems like PIED for example). Think of alcohol. Most people can drink without becoming dependant, but for the alcoholic it is poison.
Also, on the subject of this thread, there are things considered by some to be porn, when they are in fact, crime scenes.
Something that, I hope you would agree, the world would definitely be better without.
