Amazon seems to be forcing googles dns on their devices?

Something I have noticed recently is on the newer amazon tablets, what amazon seems to be doing is forcing googles dns on their devices, forcing their customers to use googles dns with no alternatives.

So for instance you might have pornography blocked through your router settings, yet when you go on these amazon devices they automatically connect to googles dns, which means you have access to all pornographic content. If you want to change to another dns on the newer amazon devices amazon seems to block this, forcing their customers to use googles dns.

It's as if amazon only want their customers to be able to access the internet on their devices through googles dns and that's it.

I honestly find this quite shocking. I have no idea why amazon have done this?

 

I thought it might of just been the one device it was happening on. But no I tried another amazon tablet and the exact same thing. Literally running on googles dns and googles dns only. It won't even connect through the routers dhcp, and it won't let you change it to a different dns. It's basically googles dns and that's it.

If amazon are doing that on all their new devices this is shocking I think. Googles dns allows you to access literally everything, all pornographic material etc.

 

It used to only connect through the routers DHCP and was quite difficult to turn on static to change the DNS settings. Naturally I much preferred this. But now it seems to be the exact opposite of this. The amazon devices aren't actually running on static and on googles DNS in static. It actually seems as if it is running on googles DNS through DHCP.
