    I relapsed today. I am in a hard learning session. I am close to my graduation. This is stressing me out a bit. Yeterday i freaked out i think this is the reason for my unconsistent discipline today. A lot thanks to @RiseToGreatness and @Julito .. You both make me strong! Your words means a lot!
     
  7. Hello brothers and sisters.
    I'm been gone for a while and I relapsed twice unfornately. The first was 5 days ago and the second was today.

    I distract so much in the cell phone and social media that I waste hours and saw women every where in social media and one thing take to another. I must stop using my phone and this right now.
    Instead of doing important things I wasted hours in my cell phone.
    What should I do? I'm a student right now.

    Day 0
    I will never give up on my own.
    Let's go!!

    of course, there´s an old proverb among addicts that summons it very well:

    "when you feel like give up, remember why you started. because when you started all you wanted was to be where you are now"

    what do you need to become 100% resolute? what belief you still hold favorable to pmo? expose it to the light bro.

    it´s very important to keep the determination high because when the bad days come, you can stand your ground.

    no bro, not at all. there´s a connection in our brains to everything. you just need to create new connections. if you see some triggering image by accident, just turn your head away, and keep doing whatever you´re doing. then you´ll create new pathways in your brain that says that "lust is wrong. i will not engage in this"

    now if you start fishing, that´s a real problem, because you´re already on the road to relapse. but even when fishing you can still stop, the sooner the better. then completely change your activity, do something to cool off, something that doesn´t envolve screens (since screens induce dulness which will make you wanna go back to the peaking excitment). so do something completely different, go outside, do some workouts, talk with people, etc really change your environment.

    and of course reflect what caused the fishing in the first place, and what part of your triggers plan you crossed. then change your strategy to prevent that from happening again. i hope it helps :)

    well, then stop using your phone. or at least create a tight schedule to it. you i will feel much better and block yourself from harm´s way ;)

    One more day done brave Fellowship :).

    in the morning i tend to be better and more fresh. but after lunch i have a big drop in energy and brain fog appears, that´s the worst time for me. social anxiety also triggers around that period. but oh well, i think is better to go through this and actually feel all the negative impacts. that way i will think twice before entering another relapse/binge period.

    The following brothers have upgraded and reach places in Middle Earth. Congratulations!! :)

    Besides the Tara Brach "pause" method that helps to deal with emotional pain, there´s also the 3 minute breathing space meditation. it´s a short but very effective tecnique to cope with hard feelings. give it a try brothers and sisters, it does wonders. and it also reduces urges ;)

    I have learned something helpful similar to your suggestions. When a trigger hits, I try to remember to B.R.A.C.E. (from the FreedomFight.org, great website for recovery if you haven't already come across it).

    B - Breathe deeply (4 seconds in, 4 seconds out) for a minute or so
    R - Remember the truth (for me it's reading scripture, but just remember who you want to be and the truth about what porn really does to you)
    AC - Accountability Call (call or text accountability and let them know you're struggling. Bringing light to the struggle can diffuse the power it has over you)
    E - Escape (leave wherever you are that made you tempted immediately)

    One of the keys they talk about is to practice this even when you're not tempted, 2-3 times per day minimum. You train your brain to start to react like that when temptation hits, and once it really does, your first reaction will be to BRACE instead of submit to the tempting material.
