God, it's already quite tough, I'm horny as hell...
Glad I signed up two days ago, I needed that extra incentive to fight the urges. ^^'

This is absolutely the same thing I thought yesterday.
If you always think how hard it is, you're making it much more difficult for yourself then necessary.
Just try to not think about it all the time!

  4. July 3rd in the UK then.

I'm up for another clean day!

How are we all doing. The weather's beautiful here, so I'm hoping to be able to get out and stretch my legs a little (just walking, mind), as exercise seems to be such a big help in this journey.

I hope you all have great days. :)

One day at a time and together! We can do this!

I'm in, time to rack up another easy 30 days. I've discovered and learnt so much about life ever since I've started NoFap. I can't believe how much time I was wasting before. Guys, the journey is worth it. Good Luck to everyone here, I hope you achieve your goals.

One thing that I am happy even after relapse is I didn't give in to it again and again. Even after just 12 days, I feel a slight better self control.

Agreed! The main thing isn't bragging rights for longest streak, it's not having it control your life. If you relapse, but regain control, even if you relapsed once every 7-14 days, just imagine how much less impact that has on your life, and how much more you are in control of yourself. Like any "movement," this one is prone to being fanaticised, or cultified, so keep perspective on reality. You are human. One slip does not destroy all your progress, it just means you need to grab the reins again. Don't be thrown from the horse, but get that stallion back under control. If he does throw you, get back in the saddle!

    Hey man, hang in there!

One thing that might help you is to set mini goals e.g 3 days, 6 days and so on. The idea being to break the big piece of steak down to bitezise pieces that you can easily chew up ( I'm feeling hungry now lol)

Anyways fella keep going n you'll be there in no time.

    Lool!

I think mabye its a bad idea to just sit or lie down and try and resist the urges. (If you are doing that that is. )

A good thing for you might be to make a calendar and set mini goals like ' make it to day 2. Make it to day 4 etc'

Also try and think about what it is you want to do:

M to P: a woman, probably mentally and spiritually broken is selling the only thing, she thinks, she has left : the shell of 'beauty' which lays over an abyss of desperation and sadness.

    Keep fighting.

To get a counter, click someone else's counter and sign up on a gmail account. You'll be able to set one up there.

Just wanna share this with you guys(I think it definitely, in part anyway, is a result of 28 Days no PMO ) :

So all through my life I've been a 'receptive' guy. Its in my nature, I'm what you call a 'supportive' (in social Psychology terms). Basically it means a guy who hates conflict and so most likely will take orders without a fight, Or won't speak up incase they hurt someone's feelings.

But today I decided enough was enough, I decided I was going to man up and be assertive/not be pushed around.

Beautifully, I got the chance to do it:

I'm going to be staying somewhere and the organizer was like you have to sign a contract or you can't stay. I told him I'd read the contact but I couldn't guarantee signing. I think he was shocked because he didn't reply to any of my messages after that.

See he was expecting me to just say "OK, no problem. " but forget that, no more Mr. Softie.

I do understand though that there's a relatively thin line between assertiveness and arrogance.

    Anyways, the message is:

    Man up!

Be respectful, but don't let anyone push you around.

  19. Belated happy Independence Day to American friends here - hope you enjoyed it if you celebrate.

Day 6 then. How we all doing?

I'm pleased to be coming up to 14 days after a bingey relapse and feel like I'm making some progress again, possibly a libido flatline happening too, which I count as something of a blessing.

Good stuff on your assertiveness, The Poet, something I need to look at myself.

    Take care friends. :)

On day one, recovering from a relapse before I found the July thread, I think it takes about a week or two to feel good about myself, mentally is where the damage is.
