    Day 232, Jedi Master on the Council.

    A milestone approaches, but I'm still alert and ever so weary of the temptations that surrounds us.

    It's really fascinating how this journey has opened my eyes to how hypersexualized our culture is in all aspects. My next goal at the one year mark will be a complete social media detox.

    I've already been off Facebook for two months. Left Twitter two years ago. Never had Instagram. But I spend time on LinkedIn looking for jobs only to find that people are sharing provocative pictures of models and young girls in bikinis etc. Of course I have no problem with what people choose to wear, I go to the beaches in the summer. But that's exactly the point. Context is key. I never expected to see semi naked pictures of women on LinkedIn. Thankfully, I immediately blocked those pages and unfollowed my contacts that like and share such content. A year ago, I probably would have clicked on the link and go down a dark and dangerous rabbit hole.

    I'm grateful for this new found power and discipline this journey helped me build. It's still a learning process, but the aim is to rid myself of these media distractions altogether.

    Hopefully this pandemic is over by next year and we can all go back to in person interactions.
