    I don't get it..

I wanna stop PMO'ing since 1/2year. I made it to 73 days once but since then I relapsed after 10 days, 2 days, 5 days.. I really wanna stop doing it because it influences the new relationship that I am in right now.. (not 100% hard, bad & negative thoughts,..)

How do you guys get through it? How do I withstand the urges. Please motivate me :(

73 days was good … very good … what do you mean "(not 100% hard, bad & negative thoughts,..)"?

  3. This might be part of the problem. People can support and inspire you, and that support is crucial to recovery, but you'll have to find a reason to change for yourself at some point—find your own motivation. I'm not there yet either. I'm right along with you. I went a few months without PMO, then after relapsing I can't seem to last more than a week or two. But we're still learning what will work best for us. Finding a lifelong change is going to take a lot of time and effort.

I was going to say also … interacting with people on nofap … that in of itself is a strategy for relapse prevention

Well not 100% hard, like when me and my GF do it.. :p
And lately I feel a bit lost, like I don't know what and who I want to become. A blurred vision upon my future, when I thought I had it all in line. For example: I gratuated and finally got my bachelor degree but it wasn't that excited as it suposed to be. I'm also having some gf troubles which impact my life and happiness. I just want to get things in line and be happy again :)

It's hard because it's such a deep habit. We are creatures of habit and habit controls us. It's also a chemical thing, your brain releases the addictive chemicals when you fap. And when our habit becomes a everyday thing, we get used to the chemical addiction. When we go without the chemical release for a few days then our brain starts crying out for more, AKA 'Urges'. It can range from the first few days to the first few months when we feel these withdrawals. So hang in there.
Try taking a cold shower when the urges become to much.

If you feel weak, just relax and talk to people on the website. Last night I was tempted but then I remembered why I joined this website- to quit. Once you get your head in the game, it should be mostly smooth sailing. Always remember why you want to quit, I do it for God especially.

I'm in practically the same situation as you. Had my best streak of 74 days and then relapsed. Now I can't even remember how long I've been using. As I'm writing this I am going for a real attempt. I wish you luck and I hope we'll succeed this time!
