Is everything we do because of women (indirectly)?

Does everything we do (at least on some minuscule level) revolve around scoring a woman to mate with? Lol

 

It is for a lot of us. The modern, western world is very gynocentric. Women get a lot more focus then men do. As guys, a lot of us are raised to believe that it's normal to be some kind of sexual deviant that will pretty do and say whatever we think women want to hear. "Can't get a woman upset because then they won't date us right?" There are a lot of guys out there that structure their lives around getting a girlfriend or getting laid or whatever. (The jobs they choose, going to the gym, being to afraid to stand up to women, etc.) I use to think that this was all normal behavior for all men, but I was really just projecting.

I find that the more progress I make on NoFap, the less I care about "getting women" and that's a good thing. Guys that obsess over women are usually single. The "neediness" is a huge turn off. Women are attracted to guys that are focused on their "life's purpose." They like guys that don't really need them.

 

Thanks for the replies. It seems that this kind of thinking (for me) is only present once I have relapsed—& on long streaks women are a last priority.

 

I guess for some people, maybe. For me, no. Admittedly, women are sometimes one of the reasons why I do something, but rarely the main reason.

On the last day of your life you will be alone with yourself. You can't base who you are on something external. It's like building your life on a paper castle. Everything can fall apart at any moment.

Nothing is permanent. The most important thing is the relationship you have with yourself. That's what I learned.
