    Hey everyone!

I'm pretty new to the nofap, thought NNN was stupid the past few years, but decided to join now for personal reasons (long boring story, really)
I've been having a reoccuring urge to watch a very specific video, having images from it flash in my mind, as with a very catchy song. But with songs, I usually just listen to it a few times and it gets out, and it's PROBABLY not the best approach here
What's even weirder, I saw that video like 2 times before, and only in parts

Did anyone have something like that? How do you deal with it?

  2. Do something else to distract yourself. You're not pre-occupied with work or hobbies which is why you have time to think about that I think. I think it's perfectly normal to get those images especially after excessive porn use, I think I have the same issue.

Yeah, I know how to distract, but there's always downtime. I wish I could go 30 days in a row working from dawn till dusk!
It's just at the beginning of nofap I had images from different videos/games/memories, but now it's all just fixated on one single vid

    Lol, sure
Nah, my flashbacks are to a porn vid, it's just the feeling is similar to getting a song in your head

  8. Flashbacks are very normal I think, especially in the beginning days of no PMO; it’s like quitting a drug- you start thinking about it a lot because you don’t have it. Who knows why this particular video is the thing you mind is fixed on- maybe something particular you liked about it, or it was novel or memorable for some reason. I have a few images that are left over from literally months or years ago, and my mind sometimes thinks “oh if I could find that image again it would feel so good”. But it’s a lie. It’s porn just like anything else and it’s straight up bad for me. Distract yourself with something else, maybe watching a good/catchy/healthy video, something you really enjoy, could help force it out. Sometimes when I am feeling really triggery I watch a comedian I really like and laughing really hard is a great healthy release.

Had a bunch of flashbacks 30 days or so in. And getting a bunch of scenes playing if I am idle for too long. I guess it’s the last stand on my subsconcious to go back.

I solved it by getting a new book to read, in the past I’ve also dealt with it by watching a movie or some stand up.

Hahah, the "oh if I could find it again" thing is real. My brain even compiled some search phrases to look it up
Not doing it ofc. Maybe finish my work for the week asap and then find some addictive game to play? Gotta try that

Guess the distraction is the best option here. How long did it take for them to pass? Do you have reoccuring flashbacks now?

At 30 days, it was on and off usually on weekends, I think I was being more mindful and the pursuit of reaching past 90 days helped me to clear my mind off the thoughts.

it seems that now 100+ days in, these are the thoughts - “I won, I conquered, what’s next, I’m scared?, Let’s just watch some and then start over”. Once I started reading on Sunday though, I was preoccupied with a different subject, not relating to sex, porn.

  13. Replace bad habits with good ones. Every time you get urges get up, go for a walk, and find something to do!
