OK Lets talk Jeffrey Toobin losing his job for a Zoom PMO...

Discussion in 'Off-topic Discussion' started by Deleted Account, Nov 15, 2020.

  1. OK, if you have been too busy undergoing your cold-showers or working-out, you may have missed this one:

    Whoa there! WTF?!

We here on this Forum, more than others, need to have a degree of sympathy for this man, albeit he's not getting much for the wife-cheating-zoom=masturbator that he clearly is. The Me-too Gang are really going for him.

And whilst he might not be everyone's idea of their cuddly 60-year old uncle (ex State Prosecutor,) he nevertheless is a PMO Addict, like many of us on NF.

Reading into the actual 'act' - where he lowered his trousers and PMO'd while forgetting to switch his Zoom camera off - many comments have been along the lines of "He must have been so bored on that call"

But i don't see it that way.

When an image of P gets in your mind, it can be so powerful that you cannot get rid of it - except by acting out to it.

    Do you agree?

I don't think he was bored. I summise that he had been foolishly looking at a particular image/clip of Supernormal Stimulus (P) and he could not concentrate, focus, escape it unless he acted out.

And that my friends is Addiction in it worst form. Poor man he needs a Reboot, badly.

    What do you all think?

Is there an actual video of him doing this?

No sympathy from me. Most men are addicted to porn, you don't see them act on it in such inappropriate circumstances.
Sure he needs help and he's addicted to porn but what's the point of this post? Feels unnatural.

You are so correct. My parents taught me self respect.

  5. Well, the point of this post was to hear views and have a discussion about a bloke caught in the PMO act - and losing his job and reputation plus a whole load of self-respect.

You can't seriously believe it was his intention to act out in front of his colleagues? Of course not, he was being risky and by not turning of his camera, he got busted. More fool him.

But i for one believe most people can emphasise with his plight on here NF. Who are we to cast stones about this habit? Has any one here ever left the tissues out, or the hand lotion to be found by someone else?
Or had to swiftly do up your pants as a SO/parent/child approached up the stairs...?

There is a shame and stigma in this addiction and that ain't goin' to change.

The other point of this post about this man is for it to be a pointer of what we here don't want to come, namely a 60+ man still needing to jerk off whenever he feels he has a slot.

By seeing his very public mis-fortune, it should help drive many of us on to escape from this cycle of addiction.

  7. Interesting talk. Impulsive Control Disorder / Addiction - its all the same. We are just waking up to the potential epidemic of P.
And i agree about the easy access and limitlessness abundance of P. Its available for absolutely anybody in the world with a connection.

68 million requests for P every day. P industry valued at $97 Billion.

Toobin may not be a pleasant man, but he is an addict first and his PMO 'exposure' (he maintains that he thought his camera was turned off and why should we not believe him?) might help make Sex Addiction more talked about and understood by main stream media.

  8. This video had my dying. Though I don't like making fun of people for embarrassing things happening to them.

Also to comment on the topic, no I personally have never wanted to jerk off in the presence of other people. No way of knowing that he's a PMO addict either. It's just an interesting situation.

  9. There's no way of knowing for sure, and I doubt he will ever disclose that. Most of the times that things like this occur, they seems to be accidental. He risked his career by doing this.

  10. Worst case scenario: if his intent was for people to catch him doing it, then I guess that makes him a creeper, but even then he was probably under the influence of strong urges, and we all know what that's like.

  11. Basically yeah.

  12. I think Toobin - a lawyer, CNN Regular, former state prosecutor - is (was) a professional who has carefully built his reputation and carreer.

Sure he has problems. An clandestine affair with another woman shows this.

And whilst we have no way of knowing, i would bet my house that this was an accident on his behalf rather than him being and perverted exhibitionist (knowing he would lose job and reputation)

My major point is this: We have all be driven to act out at totally inappropriate times by the addiction within in us, bypassing our normal rational sensibilities.
We have all also all been caught with the kleenex or the browser history.

Its so good to be escaping this habit and moving on from it. I do not wish to be in my 60's and still compelled to act out in front of pixelated BS.
