Meditate right after relapsing to porn?

I never knew this but, should I meditate right after slipping, masturbating to a porn scene? I have meditated in the mornings and nights after a day or couple more days after a relapse before, but never during after a porn relapse. Would it help a lot to motivate myself to step up the nofap journey again, especially when feeling shitty and regretful from the relapse?

I think reading something spiritual and then meditating after PMO is a good idea. It would take the mind off of the physical and move it to the spiritual. I like the motto "moderation in all things." I have spent too much of my life with regrets and self condemnation. To be mentally healthy it doesn't help to beat ourselves up too much. The poet Ella Wheeler Wilcox has a wonderful poem you might like. There are two poems of hers with the same title. First verse is "Build upon resolve, and not upon regret..."

  3. I feel like I need to punish myself at this point. I usually find my mind is calm but feels unfocused to meditate. I just feel too guilty to meditate.

I jump straight into the shower and turn the water on as cold as I can. Got a new jacket, hat, cologne I want to use, Black Ops Cold War for PC....nope.. I PMO, so I put them down until I retain and stop for a few weeks. Give myself motivation to continue on. If I pmo again it's straight into a freezing shower and no new things I just bought.

Once I retain and feel my energy and life-force coming back then I will meditate when I can feel that spiritual connection.

  4. You can but I think it's kind of missing the point.
Meditation is about attention to your thoughts and see their evolution. The purpose is to monitor whats going inside your sub-conscious. Nothing to do with motivation.
I believe it's all in the mindset. No matter how much hours you meditated or miles you've ran. If you don't have the right mindset, it won't matter. Meditation is a great way to improve your attention to your mindset (your thoughts sequence, narrative and beliefs) but it's not the answer or the cure for pmo.

Maybe I’m better off listening to a motivational speech after the porn relapse, since meditation does not really affiliate with being motivational.
