    Hey everyone!

I just wanted to say that the idea that there are so many people here gathered with the collective mission to overcome PMO or P is a success in and of itself. It means that we are the kinds of people who want to, and WILL turn our lives around. It means we are the sorts of folk who've realised that there we are suffering and are becoming resourceful and resilient in the process of getting through it. It means that we will become the sorts of strong, empathic, insightful and wise leaders that this world needs; that our children need.

This burden is a huge problem for me and for everybody - but I've never been pressured in such a way to realise how important it is to love myself - but also how important it is to be clever about how evil can creep in and manipulate oneself.

We've been hit by this pandemic of internet smut head on. But it's those of us that want to break free that will transform into something even better than what we could have been without suffering. I mean, just looking at all the journal topic names and first posts and there will be some of the most inspiring, courageous and optimistic words. These are the people the world needs.

So thanks to you for being in this world!

Edit: Sorry if this actually doesn't fit in this area - I thought it might be inspiring to some and I had to get it off my chest.

Screw the rules. This post not only belongs here but should be stickied! :D

I knew exactly what you meant as soon as I read the title.

We are evidence that PMO is twisted and perverted.
We're the victims who are becoming the real men.

The fat-cat cigar puffing rich bastards in the P industry hate us because we are stronger than them, we don't need their brainwashing drug; we need our jobs, our families, our wives, our communities, our Jesus, our freedom, our masculinity, our happiness and comfort in this world, we need to restore relationships with the women who are rightfully our beloved sisters and daughters and not sex objects.

Not only do we not need the P industry's brainwashing drug and need all those better things but we don't WANT their stupid drug. We want our real lives, doing the things we really love with all the people we love and the best part is WE ARE DOING EXACTLY THAT.

We aren't fighting a lost cause like the P industry and its brainwashed consumers would hope. We've already won.

We are so strong that we don't need to lynch and lobby against P. We just become real men and everybody around us notices we are different.
We love our lives, respect our neighbors, get married to the right woman, stay in loving and lasting relationships and successfully run loving families who also love their lives and respect their neighbours and THAT is how we fight.

    We fight like men!

I loved reading that Elduderino and I'll be back to read it again. Man I actually felt quite emotional at the last paragraph to be honest.

I was pretty proud when I wrote it haha but I won't let that get to my head as this task and this community aren't from my own strength. I think both are gifts from God.

By realizing the problem and confronting it, you've won half of the battle. The other part of the battle would be the elimination of the problem. Now the second part should be easier, since as a rational being you will be bothered by the fact, that you are inconsistent with your beliefs. You believe in love and PMO is contradictory to love, since there you share your intimacy not with your loved one, but with... well yourself... This discomfort results in cognitive dissonance, which makes you strive towards being consistent with your beliefs again and therefore you try to eliminate PMO out of your life.
I find Elduderion's post highly motivational, but just a little heads up. Just because we are half way there, doesn't mean we have completely won. We ARE on our way, but one thing needs to be in every fapstronaut's head at all times, when stressed, lonely, depressed, or bored...
    KEEP FIGHTING!

That's it in a nutshell. It breaks families, communities and relationships because it's a selfish endeavour.

Evil won't be eradicated from this world until Kingdom come. Until then I'm happy to be in God's hands, the victory is certain.

I still return here to re read what everyone's said! A good bit of inspiration! I feel like P has helped me get closer to understanding people, pain and suffering, and true joy more than anything. I've never tried illegal drugs and I've never fallen victim to alcohol addiction. But I can heavily relate to those who've fallen down the slippery slope that is addiction.

I also know that it doesn't matter how long you've been exposed, addiction can happen after a year, 11 or even 20 years. It's never too late to turn back on it and with turning around you can only become a greater human being.

I feel more "real" having had suffered. Do you guys feel similarly?

Thanks for the compliment and thanks for the lyric from the very amazing band that is my name here!! :D who knows I could be Ian Anderson himself here right now on nofap.

I mean I'm not... but still, you never know!
