Cold burning sensation

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Nov 8, 2020.

  1. What is this? Everytime I get into a streak my dick starts feeling incredibly cold and I get this constant burning sensation in my shaft and I start having to pee more often. It's very distracting and weird.

  2. Thank you for this post man. I also feel the exact same thing. Is this weird burning sensation in the middle of your shaft? Also your dick feels cold, like cold feet or hands.

I'm not getting any burning, but I'm definitely getting some kind of tingling in the tip, I don't think it's arousal, seems to get worse when I need to pee, also the blue balls are real.

  4. Yes, that's it. It feels cold and there is this tingling throughout the shaft, I think this is because in the flatline your body drains blood out of the penis as a response to a lack of stimulus. Also sometimes it gets stiff, not like an erection but like a weird rubbery sensation. When I pee my dick gets normal again and the sensation stops, I've also had this happen after doing some kind of cardio like it gets normal again and then afterwards it becomes cold and tingly again.

  5. You have been in nofap for a long time now, did your erections improve? Did you Recover your libido?

Could you share what improvement happened throughout time? Also would you please answer my question about the flatline in your other post!

  6. You have to understand that basically my entire time of NoFap has been spent in the flatline with dead dick. On my previous streak (130 days or so) I gradually started to lose my anxiety around the 100 day mark and my dick was improving, for example I felt like I was getting better bloodflow and the occasional morning wood + arousal when stumbling upon a suggestive image on accident. This first long streak that I did I was drinking, doing lots of drugs, drinking coffee and texting girls so that was probably the reason why it took me so long to see any sort of improvement. Fast forward to recently, I had a 45 day streak in which I basically flatlined completely, then I did LSD and ended up relapsing. Then I immediately continued on this streak and I have basically been flatlining the entire time.

I can tell from your posts that you're panicking a bit and I understand, I was panicking too initially but remember:
    - Your dick is fine physically, this is purely a neurological problem.
    - It's going to take time, you're gonna have to get used to being asexual for a while, it's just how it is.
    - You're not gonna suddenly wake up and be completely healed, your condition is going to slowly improve and you're gonna have periods where you feel great and then suddenly you'll be depressed again and your libido will be gone and a week later you'll feel better again.

  7. I understand, hopefully our previous use of antidepressants has nothing to do with this. It's all been at around the same timeline for me which makes it more scary.

  8. I doubt it man, I have talked about it with my doctor, with my psychiatrist and I have done a lot of research online. All SSRI's do is increase the amount of free serotonin in the brain by disabling re-uptake. High levels of serotinin lead to a loss in libido but as the serotonin levels start to decrease and go back to normal again, the effects will be gone. I asked questions on the r/askpsychiatry subreddit about drug interactions and the possibility of permanent brain changes, let me show you:

  9. I read about PSSD and it's very scary. It seems many people online are suffering from it. The symptoms are the same as PIED. That's more confusing in our situation.

this is inflammation of your urethra.
your bladder and kidneys might also be involved.

    what helped me:

nettle root (NOT LEAVES!) for several months
good cranberry/parsley/chamomile xtracts as in pills form for months.

    abstaining from porn.

    then you will heal

  13. Today i haven't felt this sensation. It is there some days, and some days it's not. Somehow it's related to nofap or maybe a flatline symptom ?

  15. It doesn't hurt but it's just super uncomfortable lol. Can't wait for it to become warm again, especially in these winter months.

  16. Are there moments where you could have hard erections followed by good libido? Or is it always bad all the time?

This morning i had some erections in bed, but they are weak . But rarely they are good and make me happy

I agree with what bigballoffire said, although i cannot comment on the effectiveness of herbs but they probably won’t hurt. The tingling or burning sensation is likely inflammation of the urethra, and the cold sensation in the penis is likely due to vasoconstriction and decreased blood flow to the penis. Both are perfectly normal for someone recovering. This random pain in the urethra should not be confused with a urinary tract infection, which typically has burning pain in the penis during urination, with increased frequency or urgency to urinate, and potentially pain in your lower stomach or pubic region and if it’s sexually transmitted it may have some kind of discharge from the penis that is not semen.

    exactly.
the two conditions are different. inflammation comes and goes. I had this when I started my recovery, pretty severe. now its rare, only when I relapse which also happens rarely.
