Hello, Im 18 years old, I'm a new member in this community and I wanted to talk that NoFap is not a big deal that people might think it is.
Soo first of all I started doing this 90 days NoFap 2-3 years ago to get rid of porn addiction and improve my self as an individual. Whoever I always relapsed, which it was good and also bad.
The good parts about relapse was the fact that I learned from those mistakes and change different habits to have, longer streaks on nofap and better perception, but didnt had any BIG benefits after a long streak like a month.
The bad parts about relapse is that I gave up on the challenge and proceed to my older bad habits.
Soo as time passes I concluded that having this hype and this hypothesis that doing 90 days of NoFap was going to change my life for the better actually was making my life even worse. Because in the end at any time whether it be on 30, 90, 120, 365 days you will fail, and what is even worse is thinking that the longer you streak is the more "healed" you will be, which is pathetic in my part but im not the only one that had this mindset too.
Now do I think that the NoFap is a bunch of bull? No, but do I think that in some way it does damage our lives? Yes, but not entirelly.
You see the problem is not masterbation, the problem is not porn, the problem is addiction to it, and thinking that porn is like some "sin" that never should be brought to society or thinking that the porn industry is ruining men and women sex lifes is absolutelly wrong. Soo porn is not a bad thing, what makes porn a bad thing is when you see it excessively like 10 times a week, just like eating mcdonalds for like 5-6 times a week which is bad, but eating mcdonalds for 5-6 times a month is not a bad thing.
With all said im going to start doing the 90 days of NoFap PMO again and for real (soo porn, masterbation and orgasm is not allowed except sex). After that I will share my experience (if I suceed) and I will not continue on my streak but who knows I might change that idea.

  2. Well, if porn is good, why is it addictive? Why it causes addiction?
Good things don't cause addiction. Good things take your time to work on them, to become better, to suffer for a benefit. Meanwhile with porn - you have to do nothing but beat your meat.
How good can porn be? I mean, explain - what's good about porn?
Also, McDonalds once in a lifetime is also bad. Once in a lifetime bad, yet - bad.

A month is a very short period from something you are addicted to.

You need to apply yourself strictly to the NoFap challenge before you conclude that NoFap is not a big deal.

Although porn in general is bad like the hardcore, but there are some vids that i think its not the worst like softcore porn imo. But what i was trying to say with the analogy with mcdonalds is that if you consume something bad and dont do it again, say, a month is not big problem, the problem is the addiction that you can create, doing very frenquently of course is really bad.

No big deal.......I became obsessed with getting some dick despite the fact that I'm a straight man. After a few years of struggles I managed to quit porn and the homosexual fetish disappeared. (Those that are born gay or bisexual can't change that). It means the world to me.
I didn't use to watch porn daily, I didn't know it was problematic, it didn't take over my life yet now, months after quitting I still have horrible withdrawal symptoms. Sure, I've been addicted for longer than you've been alive but still, it can get really bad.
