Hi, so years of PMO has left me brain dead or numb. I can't get excited about anything, nothing motivates me. Earlier looking good and working out was inspiring. I used to feel good when getting muscles, buying new clothes, traveling etc but now I don't feel anything. I'm completely brain dead and numb. My decision making power of brain, including everything else is gone. I don't wanna be numb or brain dead. I wanna experience life again SO HOW CAN I HEAL MY BRAIN FASTER ?

For me in the early stages of my steaks I took a lot of naps which personally worked for me. Other than that id say your recovery is mostly just about time. It takes a long time to undo all the damage you’ve done to your brain. Are you currently on a streak right now?

Relapsed last night so Day 0 today. Yup I know it will take time bro but is there anything we can do to speed up the recovery because this feeling of numbness is making me feel like I'm trapped inside a cage and I'm suffocating.

Honestly there’s really nothing that will instantly help, but there are small things you can do. You just have to stay strong and take it day by day and remember why you are doing this. While there’s nothing that instantly takes away the numbness, I’d say exercise and staying active can help a lot in the recovery. Also for me personally, staying off my phone and technology helped with the “numb” brain feeling.

I completely understand how you feel man. I used to be the same, super excited and intrigued by everything, motivated, and felt alive before falling down the PMO rabbit hole. Fortunately, there's one way for everyone to recover from this addiction, and that is to reboot, or abstain from porn, masturbating, and orgasming completely for a period of time long enough that the effects done to you by the addiction to these acts will be reversed. It's not an easy process, but one that everyone should undergo if they want to turn around their life for the better.
If you want to experience life again, like you said, then I recommend that you follow this process, and nourish your knowledge about it and other effects of porn watching that you may not have noticed by looking up information here on the site or elsewhere on the internet.
For how long it will take, that depends on how severe your addiction is and how long you've had it for. But stay determined to fully reboot, as believe it, not only the objective of it but the journey as well will change your life around for the better.
Also, here are a few tips from an old post of mine that may help you in your rebooting journey:
Best of luck in your journey of rebooting and getting rid of your addiction man! If you stay determined and have the will, you will push through and defeat it.

Thank you so much for this post brother. So are you feeling like you used to feel before ? Your numbness is gone ? And how would you know that you've completed healed yourself ?

    To answer your question:
While I'm not completely at where I used to be before, I'm starting feel the positive effects of NoFap on my body and mind, including more energy, less anxiety and depression, feeling more passionate and alive every day, etc. My numbness I feel like its slowly going away (it's usually reported to be gone after a month or so), and I feel more emotion and react more naturally to anything.
I'm not sure about your last question however. It is very hard to tell once you've completely healed yourself, as after you go through the journey of reboot, you will become a completely different person, with the enthusiasm for life of before and your newly acquired mind and body (from what I'm guessing; read more stories on the site to find out about those who've been largely successful). While I'd say there's no certain point to tell, as you go through your NoFap reboot you will start seeing your quality of life change for the better, which is a sign of healing and improvement.
Hope these answers can be of help.

For me my numbness starts to go away around day 7-14 but only been there twice or thrice so. Thanks everyone. I believe we got this. Will share something really really important but after a long streak to back that up. Until then keep grinding. We got this.

  12. Abstinence from porn, drugs, junk food, caffeine. Sleep well, eat healthy, take omega 3 and vitamin D, do exercise and have a normal sleep pattern and hygiene. But most of all, TIME.

Easy, do NoFap for at least 120 days. After only 1 week I already felt revitalized and powerful again. You will experience some drops and lows, due to withdrawals, but they will wane and go away. NoFap really is the answer to your problems.

Eating well, sleeping well, exercising a lot and eliminating other addictions will work wonders as well (in combo with NoFap ofc)

Why caffeine though ? Isn't it good ? I heard it makes your brain more active and increases cognitive function.

Look up on one of my older threads. I posted multiple threads with my entire plan on how to make the 100% most of NoFap

NoFap fixed all these issues for me. However, I highly recommend what @Daxos said. To combine other healthy habits with Nofap. I wish I did this from the beginning

Don't quote me on this, but I think it can significantly affect adenosine sensitivity? May want to research that
