Today I fell back to 0, but I am okay with that as this was the first time in years that I fapped without watching porn. So even though I failed I think I have taken a step in the right direction in my Nofap journey.

I think it is in the beginning but the longer you go the more you should start leaning on awareness, knowledge and faultless execution discipline which are developed by meditation and practicing you believes day in day out.

I think you don't really understand what masturbation is and the way you think-'I am okay with that' shows your ignorance which will eventually lead you to great suffering unless you change your attitude.
You've taken another step in ruining your physical and mental health that's what you did.

Proud of you my brave Fellowship. Here´s a great song to exemplify the spirit of renewal, sacrifice and discipline that is required to break free from the pmo spell. I believe in you. Onward!!!!

    Helvegen (The path to Hel)

    "Who shall sing me,
    Into deathsleep sling me,
When I on the path to Hel go,
    And this track I tread
Is cold, so cold, so cold.

    I sought the songs,
    I sent the songs.
    Then the deepest well
    Gave me tears so harsh
    From the Slain-father's1 pledge.

    I know everything, Odin,
To whom you gave your eye.

    Who shall sing me,
    Into deathsleep sling me,
Whence I on the path to Hel go,
    And this track I tread
Is cold, so cold, so cold.

Early or in the day's end,
The raven still knows if I fall.

Once you stand at the gate to Hel
And when you have to tear free,
    I shall follow you
    Over Gjallarbrú with my song.

You will be free from the bonds that bind you,
You are free from the bonds that bound you!"

It starts with the morning. This process, any process that involves human change, takes time.

    1. Wake up early, no matter what. Make yourself get up at (let's say 7 (+- 1 hr). Even if you fell asleep until 4 in the morning, wake up at 7. (No screen time for 1.5 hours after getting up)
    2. Take a long walk and/or run. Again no matter what (unless there is something debilitating or similar).
    3. Eat something healthy. No sugar-laded anything. Eat something fresh. Maybe drink some licorice root tea. (Your cortisol levels may be too low in the morning since you can't sleep at night. Also implying that your cortisol kicks in at night)
    4. If you want sugar, try fruits between 1 and 4 in the afternoon. Otherwise keep anything processed to a minimum.
    5. For dinner, nothing processed. Sauteed fresh veggies and some good meat (chicken or seafood).
6(?). Maybe some sort of light exercise afterwards in the evening.
    7. No screen time 1.5 hours before you decide to go lay in bed.
8(?). Perhaps take some melatonin 30 minutes before laying down. (Generally, it is safe for anyone to take some melatonin in the right dosage as described on the bottle) Here is some general info.
    9. Repeat steps 1-8.

A note on cortisol: It should be highest in the morning (hence a good time for exercise) and slowly decrease throughout the day until it gets to nil when it is time to go to bed. When we stay up late watching movies and all that stuff we mess up this cycle really badly. It takes time to fix it.

Going to bed and going to sleep is not just about evening/night time hours. What you do throughout the whole day impacts how you are going to sleep. Give this a good honest try for some time. What I outlined here will even help with general state of mind.

    Good luck, brother!
