After relapsing about 40 times and giving up I decided to come back and re start my journey so far I am on Day 2 Of nofap today i had a lot of brain fog. I remember when i was first starting out I couldn't pass a day! I felt very upset at myself because PMO messed up my life. I'm 15 i don't have that much friends and find it hard to communicate. and cant talk to girls. My goal is to pass a week of nofap my longest streak is 4 days. I am wondering how I can do this and how i can deal with these urges when i am at home (cant leave house).

The first thing is to ask yourself WHY you want to quit porn and fapping to porn. This will provide the motivation to succeed. It's good you know at an early age that porn and fapping is not good for you. After you have your why then you need to delete all porn from all your devices AND all porn bookmarks off of all your devices. Either delete your social media or make them private. Be sure you are not following any accounts that have pictures of women with very little on. You might want to stay off social media for the entirety of your nofap process. Either put SafeSearch on your google search engine OR switch your search engine to Swisscows. Swisscows is family-friendly which means you don't get any search results from porn sites. You cannot search for naked women either. Anything related to porn, will not show up on Swisscows. You can find this search engine at swisscows.com. Download and install porn blockers on all devices. I don't know if anyone in your family knows about your porn addiction but if there is one person you can trust, then tell them so they can support you on your nofap journey. Finally, check in here on nofap and read other peoples' stories and, if you can, reply with advice or support. If you want, you can post updates on your journey. I do it if I get urges or I do it every early evening. It helps to know you are not in this alone. Good luck and happy holidays!!!

Woah! Good on you bro for identifying and attempting to fix this PMO addiction at such a young age!! I tell guys on here all the time to carve out a daily workout routine, 30 mins minimum and stick to that mf everyday.. With 1 or 2 rest days max.. Alot of the urges are just built up sexual energy and when we do activities like work out, mediatate, play an instrument, listen to music, write, and read.. Were releasing this energy in a more positive manner while keeping it at the same time if that makes any sense.. Still though i believe keeping a daily workout routine is the best way to keep from PMOing because not only are you blowong off steam.. You building your self worth and your body rewards you for taking care of it, just like when you eat healthy but thats a whole different topic.. Good luck young sir!!

Here is my journey and some things I have learned that could help:

I relapsed twice after 6 months Or so when I thought I had it beat. I’m currently 10 months and 4 days free from that relapse. It had been A struggle for 17 years in my life. I’m also married with 3 kids. Although I did walk a very fine line a few weeks ago.

I have learned a lot in my struggle with porn. One, is what triggers me. A lot on the internet and tv triggered me(seeing beautiful women). I believe my last relapse was super bowl halftime show, I didn’t relapse that night, but like a week or two after it, but those images stayed with me. I had a very close call and was borderline at the beginning of December, but I seemed to have it under control and learned from it

I also researched And watched videos of the science behind it all and it releases dopamine In your brain and scary how the addiction get you when I thought I could control it.

the ways I feel like I have conquered it for good was that I had my wife put in an adult filter password that I don’t know what it is(it could be a friend if you are not married). It’s my backup plan when having a bad day and can’t see the adult sites. I also don’t watch shows that could trigger me and try to turn my head if I think a scene is coming. More importantly though, I have really grown in my faith with God. I have listened to so many sermons on temptations and that has helped me tremendously. Rick Warren and Greg Laurie are 2 of my favorites and have helped me a ton!! I learned about all the garbage I was putting in my mind. The analogy was how we have to watch what we eat, we can’t eat McDonald’s fried food every meal without bad consequences, the same thing applies with what you consistently put in your mind. We are trying to undo years and years of bad addictions and it takes time to undo that.
“Above Inspiration” YouTube videos are great too. Give them a listen, it’s usually 10-20 min long. A good quote I heard on sermon, “ a warrior might not win every battle, but they never stop fighting.”

Hopefully this helps and try and learn as much as possible and avoid whatever gets you tempted and triggered. make it a lifestyle change and don’t beat yourself up if you have a relapse. Just learn from it and keep trying to do better. Porn free radio podcast by Matt Dobschuetz
I also told myself , I would help as many people possible struggling with this as I could once when I got it under control.
