LOL no. He was being interviewed on the eve of his execution by a Christian psychologist named Dr. James Dobson. You have to remember that Ted was a master manipulator, and everything he's saying is exactly what Dobson wants to hear. This might have been a desperate attempt to delay his execution, or maybe he just wanted to frig the guy around to have one last laugh before he died. Pornography is very harmful to the brain, but I doubt that it has ever turned anyone into a serial killer. I think people like Ted are just born that way.

Even now he's still manipulating people from beyond the grave, including you.

While i dont think Ted was "just born that way" i agree with the rest! People that is as hurtful as Ted need a scapegoat; they need an excuse. The best excuse is an easy one. One that everyone can relate too (who cant relate to porn?). Blaming the circumstances is a normal habit for nearly all of us, at the latest when we fail - not saying it is simply wrong: we are as well made by the circumstances, but it is telling that Ted doesnt mention any sort of responsibility. Because even if porn did inspire him: there are billions that did watch porn and didnt became such a monster.

Isn't that the point of escalation? That it gets more and more extreme? I don't see why it couldn't go down that rout.

Guys it isn't that simple. Pedophilia is a disorder (although many self declared psychiatrists here disagree) but the urges to see children naked (or worse) can absolutely be aggregated by porn, teens, barely legal, you name it. Not all pedos watch cp, very few (<5%) actually touch children. So there is an interaction between pedophilia and porn, but a very complicated one.

  5. Honestly yes, if someone can go from normal porn to snuff they can go to child porn.

I don't doubt that it can happen. Surely porn addiction can escalate to more and more extreme fetishes. However, I think that in the case of CP, there may have to be some predisposition in the person.

  7. personally i dont think there is a limit to how bad it gets.

Absolutely. Unfortunately I know this all too well from personal experience. A very bad combination of predisposition and availability of cp can lead to absolute disasters.

My guess will be that It is possible with a childhood trauma. I have heard about alot of eacalations, and hed some deep ones myself but I just cant imagine child porn. Seems a regular person wont get to that level.

    I believe yes.

Girls who are 18 and look younger get swamped with booking in their first years in the business. The directors purposely dress them as school girls or make them look underage, knowing that they have the law on their side as the girls are actually 18 (most of them, anyway). They have them working with men old enough to be their grandparents in some cases and the use of word's like 'daddy' aren't uncommon.

You also have dedicated genre's of porn that are specifically targeted towards old and young scenarios, this screws with people's brain's as it is completely unrealistic yet a lot of men think like 'how can this old dude be f'ing this young girl while I'm sitting at home jerking off?' Most people shy away from this fact but women, in general, peak physically anywhere from the age of 15 to 25. Some girls will look the best they ever will in their entire life at 16/17 and with excessive consumption of estrogen in foods women are becoming fertile at much younger ages. Men are attracted to fertility at the end of the day, it's in our DNA. Quite like when a woman looks at a man and looks for strength, protection and provision, a man ultimately makes his decision based on a woman's looks (aka her youth/fertility).

Being attracted to older women is a side effect of porn use, IMO. Since removing it from my life I no longer have these strange fantasies of hooking up with 40+ women etc. I'm now only interested in women who are between the age 18 and 25 who are in the prime of their life and that is completely normal. I consider any girl under the age of 18 completely off limits, regardless of looks. How it should be for all men.

What is a regular person? Everyone in my environment would call me regular, but I've done things that are totally wrong.

Lot’s of more elaborate input here, which is excellent. I’ll give you a shorter take: What difference does it make? I want to be careful not to minimize the horrendous evil of child abuse. My point is it doesn’t matter if porn use leads to dousing yourself with whipped cream and jumping off the Eiffel Tower. We know what we need to stop doing.

Youre surely right BUT: here we do talk about CHILD porn. And i can only repeat myself: i see a huge HUGE difference between a 16 year old and a 6 year old. I dont want to defend the industry, dont get me wrong - but the whole "barely legal" stuff is lightyears away from anything you could possibly connect with real children (BEFORE puberty)

If you do look at some softcore heroines of the 70ies and 80ies you`ll find they started their careers before 18. There have been researches made that a huge number of guys react on the phsycial attraction of girls under 18 - again: no excuse for the industry, but one should get that being attracted to a well developed 16 year old is not really "un-natural" or "perverted". And it has nothing to do with child porn. All of that of course doesnt mean it is NOT devastating to present people in such a tender age as pure "objects of desire". Thats as wrong as it is prudish to deny that girls in that age can be incredible cute - and its fine to see and say this as long as there is no "predatory-mindset" behind it

I believe in some cases it can, it really depends on other branches that feed into the porn. Some people go to child porn, others to voyeurism others to necro thing and so on. It depends on the person but if your creatively inclined you can imagine how a character falling prey to lust might view the 'innocence' of a child as something that should be discovered and experienced.... Its why I can't stand the current era of people who want to let children make choices when their not even adults yet...sorry I shouldn't get into politics xD

I think a part of it also that doesn't help is how overly sexualised teenagers cloths have become, I remember a time when 50 cent videos were the most explicit thing I'd seen xd these days you can see someone shaking their ass on instagram and thats perfectly fine....weird world really.

Absolutely I think it can, porn warps your mind and things that you thought were horrific and disguisting a few years ago will in time start to seem not so bad with the nasty porn demon on your back, Hell i have even looked at beastality before which in the past was absolutely disguisting to me, but after 20 something years of porn there i was watching wandering afterwards what the did i just do? So it is upmost importance that we all stand up against this nasty ass monster named porn and slay before it destroys us from the inside out. We can and will have victory.

I feel yes it might lead to that route. Last year I started watching To Catch A Predator. I will be honest the show did help fight my addiction. While I never had thoughts about children or watched child porn the guys that showed up on the show seemed like porn/sex addicts Chris Hansen even mentions porn a couple of times. They had a guy on the show named Joe Wunderler just from the things he mentioned makes me feel he was very addicted to porn and his addiction is what got him caught on the show

However, while a lot of the guys did seem more like addicts a couple had other issues as well that seemed personal. For example, they had one guy on the show named Thomas Bodnar. The guy is a total creep I don't think porn had anything to do with his attraction to children

I mention these two in particular since Joe seemed like someone who got into porn and just needed more new things to fuel his desires. While Thomas just seems like a pedo or sexual predator whichever term is correct since they mention Thomas has done it before two other times and him being caught on the show was his third he even got caught again last year.

Absolutely not. People may use porn addiction as an excuse when caught, but it is not something to worry about. If you are not a pedophile you will not watch it, ever.
