Hey there ladies and gentlemen, hope you had a really good Christmas. I have a problem right now with my smartphone and wanted to know if anyone could help me. I'm currently using Xiaomi Mi 10 T 5G, which operates on Android 10. I have F-Secure software on My PC and phone to block adult content. It works pretty well on PC, but not so good on my phone. Namely, I've changed my default browser to F-secure safe search, but I still got Google apps on my phone, and sometimes when I get urges I use the Google browser to search for porn, and it never ends well. I need to uninstall it, but I don't know how. I'd appreciate any help. Best wishes to you all.

  2. You would need t Po root and install a custom from... Prob to remove gaps. Better option might be to buy a feature phone, if you can handle no GPS no WhatsApp no apps but does allow you to used mo3s still and retro is cool right?!

Thanks for your reply. The first thing - I'd rather stay with my current phone, because I drive quite a lot and GPS is helpful. The second thing - English is not my native language, and I don't understand the first sentence. Would you be able to explain it in simpler English, or send a link to a tutorial video?

Hello @Bright_eyes, personally I use Covenant Eyes porn blocker; it can block the usage of certain apps like youtube or google chrome, which I did. This should be helpful. (Unfortunately I guessed the password twice, which took the blocker out of effect; maybe you can find someone to type in a password that you wouldn't be able to guess ;))

  5. I can recommend Accountable2You as an excellent accountability software on Android. If that fails to be helpful, you can always ditch the phone. Getting free will cost us something; we will get free when we are willing to pay that price, no matter what it may be. Pro tip: The price gets higher the longer we wait!

  6. to be fair nor do I understand that first sentence i wrote was about, twas using my smart phone in bed.

Hey Bright eyes, I have xiaomi phone just like you, so I might be of help. There is indeed a standard browser on this phone that you can't delete, unless your very techinical and know how to get in the fabric settings which I don't. So what I did is to password protect all browser apps, make an password that would be impossible for me to remember, and give it to someone I could trust keeping it safe. Of course by doing this, you will make it impossible to browse even if you want to search something work related. For me that's okay because I have a laptop, but it might be different for you. If you do feel like you could miss browsing on mobile entirely send me a PM I'll tell you step by step what to do.

  8. there are some safe(family) browsing apps you could allow and block the rest.

Is its just the uk that allows content filtering on the isp/service provider level?
