    I think a very underrated technique to overcome loneliness is to get a pet. Either a cat or a dog would do fine. I know that for some, this is a pitiful maneuver similar to a divorced post-wall woman buying up a bunch of puppies and treating them as her children but listen: one of the best ways to overcome dopamine addiction is to counter it with oxytocin (the soothing/cuddle hormone) and having a pet is definitely a way to boost this. Why do you think veterans have service dogs? It helps. This is especially true if your family doesn't currently meet those needs. I myself am thinking about getting a cat because they're low maintenance and interesting to observe (very zen like).

    I would recommend the following: a massage (once a week if possible), spend time with grandparents or other cuddly old people, get a GF (but don't just get with her out of loneliness), weighted blanket (anxiety relief)

    Like the massage idea if all massage parlors weren't shut down. And the lowkey masseuses i know would expect more after the massage for a price if u catch my drift.. My grandma lives too far but i like the idea!!! A GF would bebmy best option but if i got one now it would be for the reason you told me not to get one. Lol.. Still appreciate the advice though brothaa!!!

    Damn thats cool! I lowkey could have gotten a kitty a few months back.. I was jogging down a sidewalk and there was this cuttest wittle kitten just sitting there staring at me wiff his big ol eyes.. No doubt i would have squished the lil MF if i wasnt paying attention.. Long story short i ended up not taking him cause i thought about shots and my studio apt complex sucks and doesn't allow pets.. To this i regret not taking the lil guy.. I always wonder were he or she is and if its okay..

    I would just sneak a cat in anyway if you can. They're pretty low maintenance. Yeah so do not get a GF. Maybe get a fat girl that you can cuddle with or something lol, seriously. Just don't fall in love. try not to O if you get with a fat girl. Also another obvious one is better circle of friends, church is also good.

    Yeah i should have snuck the lil sucker in.. They are pretty low maintenance now that i think about it..

    I actually ended up getting a very low maintenance puppy. I definitely feel more love/affection which I believe will help me with my addiction. Im at a little over 3 weeks now NO PMO

    The most important thing is to realize in time that you are a lonely person. I missed this moment and was alone for too long. I guess it's my own fault, since I just avoided relationships. In the end, it got to the point where I just can't fall in love with another person. It seems to me that a cat or a dog will not help me overcome this problem...

    I had a cat once but i guess i didn't feed her right since i caught her eating her kittens one night...haven't had a pet since.
