Hello, thank you for welcoming me into your community. I am super happy and grateful to be here.

I am a 28 year male that has been married for 5 years. I have been using porn for about 15 years on and off at this point. The use of porn has kept me from being the man I want to be. It drags me down physically, emotionally and spiritually. It keeps me from getting the work done I want and being fully present with the women I love. It is for both my wife and my future self I have decided to stop using porn.

My reboot plan is to go 30 days with out PMO. I never thought I would go without O as married man but I feel like I need to do something different this time I quit. This past year has left me in a rut and I need to jump out quickly.

I currently hold a 6 day no P streak and few week no M streak. But as of today I will be starting at zero to include no O as well.

My dear friend first of all I wanna wish a good year for you and your family.
I think you must fight harder with your goal and basically fight porn and masturbation because this two thing are connected in your brain and you must stay away from both of them.
Try to talk to your wife about your addiction because honesty and trust is important material for relationships
If you talk you will share your weight and your problems with someone you love and this is a very helpful tool
You must feel pleased that you have a person who loves and can help you get out of this

    Thank you!

I have been very open with my wife about my addiction. There have been a lot of tough conversations but she better understand now that I am not trying hurt her. It is an addiction that I have been fighting for many year.
After my 30 day challenge of no-PMO, of which I am currently on day, I will build on that success to continue without PM.

Happy new year to you as well :)

    Thank you for reading it!

Yeah. She is. I have always felt I needed to be open with my wife about this. Thankfully. I believe things would be a lot worse if I hadn't been.

So far the main thing that I have done different to avoid porn is to move my desk into our family room. It wasn't my first choice but so far it is working out. Also following these commitments have been helpful because it keeps from allowing myself to think I an creep near the edge. Plus, working out, eating right, walking, coming on here everyday, reading the Bible and praying.

Today I set up accountability with two guys. I haven't had the best of luck with accountability partners in the past but I think I have a better framework to go by this time. Mainly by checking in everyday.

That was a great post! Thank you for sharing that. I am gonna need to read that a couple more time to really absorb it. I really like the idea of writing down 40 reasons why I want to quit. I wrote down a few when I started this challenge but 40 seems like a better number. It would hopefully keep me form coming up with a workaround.

Thanks again for reaching out! I really appreciate it.
