    Day 2,

Another run this morning, slower than yesterdays, but another 5 miler. Had another round of blood tests checking for any autoimmune issues that might be causing the low blood counts. No real urges, but a few pings that surfaced here and there.

    Thank you again Fellowship!

Would you please share the tips you were given for sleep? I’m trying to stick to a regular bed/rise time, but any additional advice would be welcome!

    Day 11.
    2021 Global Counter: 5/5
Today some urges appeared, but i didn't follow the whispering of the ring. It wasn't an actual battle against the urge (that one was easy), the actual problem was the racionalization of porn. Empoyed some tools that are not yet well developed, because I realise that the point is not actually the triggers, but the decision to not to use then. I know it is very wise to not give space for the triggers (this is as old as the stoics), but if you live to avoid the triggers you are, more or less, still slave of your body.
Some aspects that I understood from this urge: a) your mood affects the propension to low your defenses, especially laziness, which I suffred a lot today; b) the point is not the triggers, but deciding to follow or not follow the triggers. I am trying to create some tools to overcame these two aspects. Doing something unexpected, like jumping out of nothing, might help to open a breach trhough the bad thoughts and fellings, although it is just a palliative. For the second, I am trying some NLP things, and the Metascript, but I am still on the begining of tests and it is not yet clear what exactly I should do.

    Checking in for day 6.
    'Tips'+ followed:
    1)Meditate- undone
    2)Stay accountable daily-done
    3)Study about reboot-done
    4)Take a cold shower- undone
    5)Follow a trigger prevention plan-done
6)Get occupied. Work on your hobbies and dreams-done
    7)Practice physical exercise- done
    8)Eat healthy- undone
    9)Sleep well-done
    10)NA-done
In summary, the day went well for me. I made a conversation with a woman, and it was good. Also continued working on my programming skills. Did some tasks in the morning, and in the evening I returned to my book until I fell asleep. In my opinion, to remove Netflix and tv shows from your life is by going to reading. It's harder but with more information, and more interesting to use your mind and imagination instead of imagining porn scenes. So I will add: 11) Read a book - done. As a tip followed.

    Day 1

I ended up MOing nearly two days ago so for the sake of hard mode I am almost on day 2. I last PMOd three days ago and since that time and especially since my last MO session, I have decided to make some changes in my life. I am going to start working out 2-3 times a week, going for cold winter walks every morning, making myself three eggs for breakfast with chocolate cereal interspersed in between. In the last two weeks I have taken up learning Spanish and I intend to start reading and writing again while I am off from school. I made myself a schedule for the day to day events and I intend to watch some math videos to prepare me for my final semester in undergrad. Life it starting to look up and I am feeling like despite the urges I can beat this addiction. I heard this metaphor today: As you walk along the road of recovery, if you misstep and end up in the swamp of relapse, you don't go back to the beginning of the road and start over, you just get back on where you went off and continue from then on. We will all have set backs, but the goal is to get right back on that road and continue on, learning to watch your step as you go along. Eventually, the missteps become farther and fewer in between, and you will find yourself in freedom. Even in freedom you might have moments where you look at porn, but when you are able to stop your self and get back to life without giving it a second thought, then you are free from porn. It may take years, but we will all get there.

    Best,

  12. Day 6 complete.

While I was out running it occurred to me again how blessed I am to have this community. Before I joined NoFap, even my best white-knuckle streaks would collapse around day 5, and I'd usually be lucky to get 3. Now here I am, almost a week into my current streak, and I hardly think anything of it. I'm still a long way from where I want to be, but I've also come a long way from where I was. We can't fight this alone, and more importantly, we're not meant to. This accountability is what I was lacking in my fight against PMO. Thank you all so much for being here.

Had nocturnal emission (after 62 days clean from them) through the night (went to bed at around 9:45 pm woke up right after it happened at 23:20 pm and just laid in bed rolling from one side to another until I fallen back to sleep at around 3 am ).:(
Couldn't recall the dream right after it happened just some tiny fragments, keep thinking about if I could have done better.
    Physical consequences are:
*Feel a slight pain in the left testicle (it is a usual thing after emptying balls),when you relapse it happens to both testicles but it happened to just one in my case today started 6 hours ago and is still there.
*Light slowness in thinking (this may be a result of interrupted sleep and sleeplessness for half of the night)
Reasons behind as I see it are :1)too big meal in the evening and/or incompatibility of desert (walnuts and honey) with the main meal(mashed potatoes, meat and salads). Later on (about 1.5 hour after meal) I felt some sort of light heaviness, rigidness in the stomach before I went to bed.
2)Was ruminating about my evening conversation and behavior with my neighbor who just came back from holiday as well as about my last posts on the forum.

A small poll for brotherhood :
Do you think I should reset my counter in the challenge because of it?
*Yes, you should reset it .
*No, keep going on you are alright.
Thanks in advance for your participation.

    an extract from webmd :
Usually, a wet dream happens while you're having a dream about sex, but not always. You may not even remember the dream. Doctors call wet dreams "nocturnal emissions." Nocturnal means "at night." Emission is another way to say release. They’re also sometimes called “sleep orgasms.”.

I don't think you should reset your counter. A nocturnal emission is completely out of your control and there's almost nothing you could have done to avoid it. At least in my opinion.

I concur with @Julito, you couldn't have prevented the nocturnal emission and it's not like it happened intentionally! Keep on going, I commend you for your accountability and honesty!

Day 29. Checking in. It feels that I have either hit another flatline or this is what it feels like to achieve some level of sexual normalcy. Things seem to be getting easier. I have been really good about not fantasizing and staying out of my head. I feel my heartbeat faster when I see a girl that I find attractive but I do not fall into the trap of thinking unhealthy thoughts. Overall I am really excited about my progress so far.
