bro its not even about sexual lust, asmr is simply lust, its lust for sensation, something you are missing out on because of the way your environment is and you solve that issue with asmr. If you are anxious there is a reason for that, you understand that your body makes u anxious for a reason?`you should think why you are anxious and resolve it, not listen to asmr to feel better.

I dont listen to it because I am stressed or anxious, I listen to it simply because its relaxing. I was merely giving an example of how it could be used. Even if I did, I dont see the issue. If you arent being triggered by it, then how is it any different from music? Not all ASMR is based on simulating physical contact, a lot of it is based simply on making relaxing sounds with objects.

so I ask you, what is your idea of music, how does it affect your life, what does it do for you? what makes you listen to music, why do you listen to music? Take your time.

I listen to music for a variety of reasons. To relax, to gain inspiration, or simply because I like the way it sounds. It enriches my life completely. The reason I compared it to non-sexualised ASMR content is because, to me, there isnt really much difference between the two things. Not because I use them for the same reasons, but because they are both so entirely unrelated to my struggles with PMO that I felt it was worth the comparison. Like I said earlier in the thread, I dont watch/listen to sexualised ASMR, and the ASMR I do listen to may potentially feature attractive women, but attractive women are not in and of themselves a trigger for me.

Ah right. I did not realise that ASMR could help with something like that, but I'm glad to know it does.

I feel that a lot of ASMR could be seen as being a porn sub, but I would not go as far as to say it is soft porn. The genre is so varied its difficult to all pin it into one category.

That voice is creepy and anoying

  15. ?? Suit yourself to think that, but that's not very nice to say at the least, I've been falling asleep to this guy since 4y now and he helped me in ways I couldn't imagine

  16. The asmr video's I've watched:
    • I see a gorgeous girl
    • She is whispering all kind of nice things in my ear.
    • She wants me to come very close (emotionally and spiritually).
I decided for myself I only want to let the woman I will marry coming that close to me.

So for me, the kind of asmr I"ve seen is soft porn for me. Stimulation of things within my body that should not be stimulated that way.

  18. It makes me think of the tv painter Bob Ross. His voice always calmed me down as a kid. But that was not an asmr artist lol

  20. That is simply a part of the community though. It's kind of """your fault""" if that's the only things you've watched. There's tons of faceless asmr, tons of men asmr, tons of asmr that isn't personal attention. As others have said there is enough variety in the genre for you to choose what you watch. It's not because it's the only things you've watched that it's all like that, it's generalisation at best, harmful to people in the community at worst.

Cool, that's my opinion as well, but there's a fine limit between stating your opinion and being blatantly critical haha. I mean it's not like we were discussing the appeal of shota for example but it feels like it to me

I don't know this conversation is pissing me off because I had an asmr channel for a year back in 2013, I was super involved into it, poured my heart out in it, been watching asmr since 2011, and to see people reduce something that has been and still is extremely helpful to me beyond imagination into something as bleak and simple as a psub hurts me personally
