I started PMO when I was in 4th or 5th grade. Has stayed with me until now. It's time to break this addiction. Thank you for all the support that I know I will receive. We can do this together. I plan on doing a 365 day NoFap. I know that sounds ambitious, but I was able to do 3 months of NoFap about half a year ago.

    Welcome back,

I recommend giving up porn forever. If you are single and unmarried, it's up to you about the masturbation business but my personal opinion is to eliminate solo sex altogether for good, not just for 365 days. That being said I think having a goal of 365 and then going on from there is great.

Note: this is just a personal opinion.

@eldish I agree with you, I want to be done forever. Do you have any recommendations for filters on a computer? I have one for my phone. I know K9 works for my computer, but it sometimes wont even let me connect to my own wifi so I have deleted it. Any recommendations?

I personally don't use filters. Instead, I just only use my computer in public or when my wife is home. This seems to be working for me (see my program of recovery in my signature).

As for filters, I can recommend Microsoft Family Safety if you are using a Windows computer. First make 2 accounts on your computer, one as the administrator and one as a non-administrator. Make sure the administrator has a pass. You then make and log into a Window's Live account. There are settings for parental controls and you can block any website or material. I used this in the past. I simple set it to the setting where I could only access websites from the list and put the websites I needed on the list. This made it where I could access only Nofap and a few other websites that had no porn at all. It was literally impossible to get around.

Make sure after you set all that up to put a new pass on the Window's live account and the Window's administrator account. I would suggest making something that is random numbers and letters like: DcuD46skDeocm2532dd

Then write down the pass on a piece of paper and hide it somewhere or give it to a friend. That makes it impossible to view porn.

I will say that I personally don't do the blocker idea anymore, it was way too annoying and much more convenient to have no blocker and just use electronic devices in public or when not alone.
