How did the industry of porn got created?

It all started with the invention of film. The first pornographic film was made in 1899, I believe. The reason why the government doesn’t do anything about porn is because:
1. Not enough scientific/medical research has been done to determine if porn is addictive.
2. Most governments are worried about problems that affect them personally, porn doesn’t affect the government as much as unemployment and wages.
3. The porn industry is very wealthy, so criminalizing the possession of porn would do more harm than good.
4. Porn is done in secret, away from prying eyes.
5. Even if porn is considered bad by some medical experts, there aren’t many trained professionals to treat porn addiction.

 

Before film there were drawings or written stories. Porn in some form goes back centuries.

 

Because porn exploits a natural human desire for money. Governments aren’t putting money in to research porn addiction as it doesn’t affect them.

 

i think it goes way back to slave auctions. men and women would purchase other humans for more than physical labor, some for sexual needs. rich women in rome would supposedly pay to have one nighters with gladiators. idk if thats fact though. then if u go farther in the timelime u have burlesque shows were women are sexualized in a more classy way i feel. then strippers or dancers as they liked to be called... mix all that with modern tech advances there u have ur answer.

I heard it from Jordan Peterson(the famous Canadia Psychologist) on youtube. All it means that male engineers were motivated to build the internet we see today to basically access porn.
Here’s an example : I am a man , and if you say me to do fifty push-ups I will be physically and mentally unable to do it. But if someone says me to do fifty push-ups and then I can see a naked woman (I’m sorry if this is disrespectful) , I would even go for the 60th push up .

You are getting me wrong buddy . I only intended to answer how it all started. My bad , I should have framed my answers appropriately.
No doubt porn industry has got powerful because of the money.
I was just stating an interesting fact.

 

I guess it stems back to prostitution and also voyeurism. If you didn't know The Greek word for prostitute is 'porne' known today as porn of course lol. This goes way back before like the 5th century.

It is simply the devils work.

 

Porn industry is a natural evolution from the erotica that was around since before recorded history into mass media, which would include even the earliest movies.

Government bans on stuff generally don’t work. Prohibition was a failure. The illegal drug industry thrives despite the millions we’ve wasted on the “war on drugs.” Personally, I’d rather have the government assure us good health care, etc., than tell us what we should be looking at, which wouldn’t work anyway.

I’ve tried to focus my energy more on building my own ability to resist the addictive power of porn, rather that worrying about the industry itself. The people in it likely have their own problems. I need to deal with mine and, hopefully, give some thoughts to others here.
