Day 1. Starting again , I will never give up

 

Day 22

In a weird state of mind at the moment, I have the urge to relapse but have an equally opposite force reminding me that I’ll get nothing from it. I went ‘fishing’ on social media, and even began edging - but I’m grateful I managed to snap out of it.

I don’t consider the edging to be a relapse in my situation (I didn’t succumb to the urge and follow through), however I’m still extremely disappointed with myself as I’m putting myself in a dangerous situation. I’m forgetting why I started this challenge, and more importantly I’m forgetting the man I want to become - please pray for me brothers! Like Frodo, I’ve put on the ring of power for a brief moment, only to realise the horror of what I’m doing!

 

Day 8,

Keeping active and working to get back in the swing of school.

Fuck man this really broke my heart. I admire your ability to articulate your love for Toby and what you are feeling during this dark time. Loosing a dog is so painful. I have been there and your words resonate with me deeply. Your approach to the grieving process is inspiring and I am going to carry this story with me on my journey. Stay strong brother.

Now,everything is fine by God's grace ,thank u so much for u concern @Johnthesavage .My gf and i were good friends ,we cared for each other and talk everyday.But lately she told me she loves me so much and all,so love started in me,too.But two days back she told me ,we have to seperate as i'm older than u by 2years,in my house they r looking for bridegroom and all.So i had this pain of seperation,it made me depressed,then after going to church attending mass and adoration and all,that pain left me and i opened my phone,she texted me sorry and confessed that she told seperation because of her age,family and religion(a different sect of christian) and how greatly she loves me ,so on.And congrats for ur inspiring streak.

 

Almost relapsed, gotta stay strong. After pushing through and leaving my house to go work out I realize that my addicted brain was tricking me. Stay strong everyone, don’t let pixels control your destiny

Day 2

I think these first few weeks of no PMO are going to be easier than normal. As mentioned in the above post by me from yesterday, my dog is no longer with me. I have no time to think about masturbation. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond. It means very much, and I am also glad some people related to what I said and got something from it.

So, no real urges, which means that luckily my HOCD isn't on my radar right now. I am getting a new dog tomorrow, as per what seems to be a tradition now (a new one right after an old one is gone). I will be jogging with it three times a day to keep myself active and this new dog's energy levels down. She is a german shepherd husky mix with two eye colors. We will be naming her Grace if she doesn't have a name from the shelter already. She is 1 and a half years old. I would say it will be vital to my healing process once my brain stops shielding me from these emotions I know are deep down inside me. I felt perfectly fine today, but yesterday I could barely keep from sobbing (regrettably I didn't allow myself to). I guess I grieve differently from the rest of my family, who seem unable to function normally. It's gonna hit hard once it does hit.

Day 2 is out, I will make sure no reset is ever needed. Good night, everyone.

Day 2 complete!

Didn't get as much work done today as I would have liked, but I had a very nice time hanging out with some friends I hadn't seen in a while, so I'm okay with it. Took a cold shower a few minutes ago, now about to hit the hay so I can get up and be productive tomorrow!

St. Agnes, patroness of chastity and purity, pray for us!

 

That's the way brother! Go at it. Build slowly in other places and do not overburden yourself with too many responsibilities at once. Build slowly step by step and let the things you do become a part of you!
