Of course an explicit picture that you received is not a a relapse or worthy of a reset, as you have not searched for it in the hopes of lying to yourself that you need to see a naked woman/man (whatever turns your crank man). Explicit pictures will appear from now and then as with today's environment is hard to navigate, without seeing something sexual.
What is important here is to act in the right way about it, and I am glad to see that you did so. The more you stay on this road, you will notice that these unwanted situations will happen less and less and your thoughts about how you feel will be healthier and healthier, prouder and prouder.

Be very careful my brother, I recommend ending this habit that you are beginning to establish without noticing. Like, every time you are getting into this physical connection do a cold shower or change your activity completely.
    Why?
I had a little situation like yours. I was going pretty strong and confident with my streak, even had a girl for a while so I did O, but no P or M. One or two weeks after that, I decided I will continue No PM and O until the 90 days streak. And it started as you said... "started fishing on social media", then wondering if it is considered a relapse. I rationalized that it's not (which it isn't, until it is, I will go onto more detail at the end), and by the way things were going, I was confident that I can just maintain myself the rest of streak. What I haven't noticed though , was the fact that I began repeating this behavior (same as it happens with porn). I controlled myself today and 2 days from now I got into it again, and then the next day and then again 2 days pause. (I'm not completely sure how much time I've done this, One week maybe, but for sure not I didn't reach 2 weeks).
I felt it under control, getting close and always stopping and heading onto doing other stuff that were actually productive thinking/"knowing" that "now that I have done this, my body/mind/self has no more reason to be distracted as I was kind to it, and provided it a little pleasure that should allow me to continue my day.
I was keeping it very light, with "Instagram Models(that have personal blog in description)", but the vanilla type: Not really naked, but with the shapes at display. And as I was doing this, in came a new post (from a certain one that I was following because of the nice shapes but vanilla style butt pics), with the
position, the angles and shapes and lights all aggressively captured my attention and it distracted my mind and body for a couple of seconds. It was enough.
Now keep in mind, that when you practice edging, a fraction of a second of distraction is the difference between Edging and O. And with practicing edging more than once, you are bound to get distracted and sludgy by the very act of repletion without even counting any other thought or distraction that might apply to you.
I found my progress gone to dust after a 85 day streak. (I would've allowed myself to do whatever I wanted at day 91).
6 More days I couldn't keep it together, and of course I it didn't stop there. A 2 day binge followed because "I wrecked it and I should at least enjoy it". That journey has not been unfruitful though, I forfeited those 2 days and forgave myself and set on the journey again, with my attention heightened on situations that might appear. It was also at that time that I have joined this forum to keep myself motivated and aware of possible impediments that might appear that could lead to a relapse.

Long story short, ask yourself this: "Can't I find nothing better to
do with this time period (time which you are using for Edging), that I can actually be proud of spending?"

I hope my story finds you well and provides you with more clarity on your journey and goals.
    Sincerely yours,
    Prophet Moonstruck.

    Day 9
The last couple of days were very testing. I felt that my testicles are full and something wanted to get out of my body. To be honest, I decided to watch p a couple minutes ago. "Hey, you were doing great! You've reached 8 days! But now it's time to celebrate!" my mind said. However, it was not me. It was like I was controlled by the addicted side of me which convinced me to watch p for a couple of minutes, then I came back and I said to myself "Hey! Remember we(my body and my mind) are committed not to watch p again! Forget all the things you have said before and focus on your challenge!" It was me. I'm glad that I did not watch p.
It is this easy, my friends. Just in a second, you can decide to watch p and embrace your addiction once again. You need to think the consequences your actions you are about to do. I think this is true for the every aspect of life :D I wish you all a great day!

Day 46. Over the hump. Feeling a little off this morning. Spent too much time in bed fantasizing about a hot girl I saw when I was out for a run. Its so difficult for me to get out of bed when my alarm goes off. I am going to strive to be better about this.

Thank you brother, it was interesting to hear your story, and I recognised a lot of similarities with my own experiences. I too have also failed previous streaks as a result of edging - although in those circumstances once I began, I passed the barrier and ended up relapsing.

I also find myself asking ‘could I not do anything better with my time?’ when I feel the urge to edge, but have stupidly decided in the past that I couldn’t! I find it reassuring hearing your story, but I feel a whole lot better today than I did yesterday - I believe I have finally reached a turning point where I am so sick of P and abusing MO that my conscience is finally kicking in. I recognise the trap that edging represents, and I am convicted not to indulge myself momentarily when I know I’ll either be disappointed in myself or end up relapsing!

Got drunk last night for fun, ended up relapsing. Guess I’ll have to cut out alcohol on my journey too. Stay strong everyone

in the first weeks the pull of pmo is very strong and the addiction is struggling daily. for a still very addict brain the best course of action is really block yourself from risky situations. don´t debate against yourself because you are loosing precious energy, just block yourself from harm´s way. and keep engaging in all your good habits. Be happy bro!!! :)

excellent bro. just a quick dispell in case the addiction tries to lure you again: your testicles are not full, they never are, semen is stored in the prostate, below the belly. if semen is not depleted then the body absorves it and receives full energy. that´s how semen retention creates superpowers ;)

rise slowly bro. you don´t need to jump start, just rise from the bed, one foot off, then the other. and all the sudden you´re standing ;).

it´s very important to rise as soon as the alarm rings, not just because of fantasies, but mostly to awaken the body and let energy rise. people who snooze the alarm and go to sleep again, or stay awake in the dark, finding very difficult to stay sharp in the morning, some even feel lethargic the entire day.

so when the alarm rings, start moving ;)

:D that happened to me a lot of times :D :D

well, drunkness slows down the brain reboot, destroys willpower and creates withdrawal symphoms, so you should really avoid getting drunk. however alcohol by itself is not dangerous, what you should keep in mind is the quantity, and the context of drinking, because alcohol will lead you to a relapse if your not careful. so if you gonna drink you should have a triggers prevention plan activated. mandatory.

    "4.3 A pleasure or a crutch?

An important reminder - the main reason that users find it difficult to quit is due to the belief they’re giving up a genuine pleasure or crutch. It’s essential to understand that you’re giving up absolutely nothing whatsoever. The best way to understand the subtleties of the porn trap is comparing it with eating. The habit of regular meals causes us to not feel hungry between, only aware of hunger if the meal is delayed. There’s no physical pain, just an empty insecure feeling recognised as hunger. The process of satisfying our hunger is a very pleasant experience.

Pornography appears to be almost identical, but it’s not. Like hunger, there’s no physical pain and the reward mechanism behaves in similar ways, but it’s this similarity to eating that tricks the user into believing there’s a genuine pleasure or crutch. Although eating and porn appear to be very similar, in reality they’re exact opposites.

    • You eat to survive and energise your life, whereas porn dims and cuts down your mojo.

    • Food genuinely tastes good and eating is a genuinely pleasant experience that we enjoy throughout our lives. Porn involves self-sabotaging the happiness receptors and thus destroys your chances to cope and feel happy.

    • Eating doesn’t create hunger and genuinely relieves it, whereas the first porn session starts the craving for dopamine and each subsequent session. Far from relieving it, it ensures suffering for the rest of your life.
Is eating a habit? If you think so, try breaking it completely! To describe eating as habit would be like describing breathing as a habit, both are essential for survival. It’s true that people have the habit of satisfying their hunger at different times with varying types of food, but eating itself isn’t habit. Neither is porn. The only reason a user fires up the browser is trying to end the empty feelings the previous session created, at different times with varying escalating genres.

On the internet, porn is frequently referred to as a habit and for convenience Easy_Peasy also refers to the ’habit’. However, be constantly aware that porn isn’t habit, it’s drug addiction! When we start to use porn, we have to force ourselves to cope with it. Before we know it, we’re escalating into increasingly bizarre and shocking porn. The thrill is in the hunting, not the killing, with dopamine rapidly leaving the body after orgasm, explaining why users want to ’edge’ (delaying orgasm) through flicking between multiple browser windows and tabs."

I love this @RiseToGreatness. I do feel lethargic for the rest of the day when I hit snooze. I love the idea of "rising slowly". I am going to try this tomorrow morning.

:) Nice to be a hobbit again. Still feeling tempted to relapse though. One day at a time. Or ten minutes at a time if necessary
