Mind tricks guys.. yesterday was very tough on me.... I had an argument so I was feeling upset. Went to bed with stress...
The old cravings came back.. and it was like..." Come on, you're tired, stressed, frustrated.... Let's have it once and you'll feel better.... I'll reduce your stress"....

Somehow I could pass that time. Today I am grateful that I could resist that.

Just thought of checking if it's me only or this happens with you too, and how you resist the temptation.

I get it brudda. Temptation can sometimes overpower us. However, we need to be strong enough to not only suppress it directly (the hard approach), but also smart enough to find ways to distract the temptation and redirect that sexual energy toward something better than masturbating. Here are a few thing that you can do when you feel tempted (and that I need to practice more in order to gain more control over myself too, as I'd forgotten about them for some time):
Something new that I'm also trying is holding my breath for ~1 minute when I feel an urge. I'm guessing this works because it shifts the brain from whatever you're doing to something more important for survival, and that is breathing in air.
To wrap this up, it is up to you to resist your urges and decide what to do with them. We all have tough days in life: break-ups, arguments, injuries, losing your job, etc. It is how you deal with them that determines how strong you are. Keep up the good work man, and don't stop!!!

  3. Well done resisting and getting through. Yes, it does happen to me too. Seems to gradually get easier with practice. Distraction then talking through triggering issues seem, to me. the best way to deal with it.

Well done for not allowing the addiction back in. The mind is always trying to find ways for you to go back to the old ways. One way it tries to deceive me is saying l can look at pictures of hot woman(not porn)and this isn't a relapse or such a big deal. Of course looking at hot woman in sexy clothes or bikini's etc will progress to looking at hard porn and bang a relapse. With this addiction your mind is not your friend. It is very cunning and at times seems impossible to defeat but you succeeded yesterday so you can succeed again. Goodluck.

If you ever get a break where you can analyze your motivation to fap, think about why your mind is telling you to do it. I am gearing up for a streak that will take to until my Q3 report cards are released. My mind was urging me to reset but I managed to understand why it was telling me to do it. It was because my mind believes that I can't do it later, so when I am going through some tough times now, it wants to kick me when I am down. Quite sneaky there I must admit.

You are definitely not alone. All of us have those days. I had mine yesterday as well, I was as close as you can be to relapse, but I did not and just like you I am happy for that today. This is a super hard process and I am very humble to it, I just try to take it one day at a time. If I could win the battle with my brain yesterday, I should be able to repeat that again today.
