Hi, I'm on my 9th day of NoFap. Nothing impressive by any means, however I would like to know if there is a program that prompts the user to enter a password to change the DNS?

I use the clean browsing DNS family filter on both my phone and laptop. But since I know HOW to change the DNS, I'm fearful that one day I'll change it back to let's say 8.8.8.8 and erase all the sites I blacklisted (in host file) just to PMO.

My aim is to put a random password generated and then hopefully I'm sealed. Even if I wanted to change the DNS, I won't be able too.

Hey did you figure out how to do this, I was wondering as well? By the way, instead of forgetting your password so that you're locked out forever, you can store it in thepasslock (search 'thepasslock porn') and then to retrieve it, have to do a tedious 30 minute task like counting the number of times 2 shows up in a list of numbers. That way if you really need it you can get it, but also you'll be always deterred when you have an urge.

OP is long gone, but the only real answer I can think of (for a PC) would be to set up a dedicated administrator account and demote your regular account to a standard user.

Set the admin password to something long and random, give it to somebody else or use lockbox.pluckeye.net to store it.

Boom, now you're locked out of editing your custom hosts file or changing your DNS provider. Though you also wouldn't be able to install / uninstall anything without the admin password.
