My screen time has a direct correlation with my mental health.

I've noticed some patterns and I'm trying to pin point the exact cause.

When I'm feeling unmotivated and depressed there are 3 common occurrences:

    1. Screen time is usually 9-12 hours a day

    2. Dirty bedroom

    3. Porn consumption and masturbation.
Last week I stopped using my phone before bed and after waking up and it helped drastically, I also cleaned my room and abstained from porn and masturbation.

I struggle to stay disciplined and I used my phone before and after bed, my room became dirtier and I ended up porn and faping.

These 3 things are what make my life miserable and they are a vicous cycle.

I need to get rid of them.

It’s a cycle for me. I get depressed, go on Reddit to cope and avoid life. The more screen time, the worse the depression gets, the more I turn to it to cope.

Yea man. You’ll benefit from doing anything else for most of your day. Even being desperately bored is better for you. You’ll see why after trying it. Desperation, loneliness, boredom, is what makes people strive to be better. Doing what is easy and comfortable isn’t what is best for you. Challenge yourself. As much as possible and you’ll feel better the more you do. Be drastic. And if you find better things to do , good, do them. Have fun. Suffer. Anything is better than this pathetic status quo.
