    To all of you struggling, I have some thoughts that I want to share with you. Now, this is just my personal opinion so if you find something of value please think about it, if not keep looking for answers like some real fighters.
    Ok, so I think that the problem with pornography is not that you primary want to go and watch it (like when you decide to make a homework) but it's rather an avoidance mechanism that your subconscious develop in order to keep the distance from uncomfortable things. I found out that this was my case when I put a lot of pressure on me to study, and then I procrastinate all day, then (to make sure I don't touch that book) I would go to pornography, then feel bad about it, then deciding I need to make some changes, the spending the rest of the day planning those changes and so I never studied.
    Maybe it is the same for some of you. Give it a thought. Is there something you instinctively and passively avoid to do? Maybe you should not fight at all against pornography addiction but rather find a way to know yourselves better and do the corrections you feel that you need in your life. Maybe pornography is just a by-product.
    Now, am I an expert in this? No. Have I solved the avoidance problems? I wish I could say that. Am I free from porn? Hope so.

    This is just a theory and following the logic of it I kind of found what I was avoiding and now I am trying to do what I have to do (or at the very least avoid it counciously in another way until the new 'avoidance mechanism' is installed)

    For me the avoidance mechanism is one of the most important triggers. I already try to tackle this, but it isn't always that easy. But realizing this was a great step for me. Thanks for bringing this issue up here. Another very important course for me is dealing with pain. If I watch porn my emotions get stunned and I feel numb the whole time. Realising this was also very important for me. There are healthier ways to deal with pain. I think tackling these problems directly is very helpful to get away from porn addition.

    Day 1 checking in

    Relapsed again last night. Staying up late is one of my biggest vices that i struggle with, it gets late and i just don't want to go to bed, even though i know staying up will make it way more likely i could relapse...that's something i need to work on this year.
