    I'm starting a new month. The crisis in Texas really threw me off. I didn't lose power or water, unlike several friends, but the stress of the situation really distracted me and led to unhealthy behaviors (junk food, internet bingeing, porn) and a lack of productivity. That's happened a lot during each of the last three crises: the pandemic, the coup attempt, and now this. It would be really nice to find a way to stay at least a little more even-keeled when the situation abruptly changes. I suspect a stronger meditation regimen wouldn't hurt.
