I don't know about the science behind sadism. I think most women who do findom are doing it as revenge against the men that supposedly created the patriarchy. Masochism is linked to depression and anxiety. I've found out SSRIs don't get prescribed unless it's life threatening like asphyxiation. They're given out like sweets to people with anxiety though.
