The Lord of the Rings Challenge

Day 81. Feeling anxious today and the urges seem to be more noticeable. I am going to take some time to write and get my thoughts on paper to try and understand what is on my mind.

 

Day 37. Embracing the day with hope

 

Day 3,

Had an ah-ha moment last night during lecture. Became increasingly bored with lecture last night and began to fish. My fishing was by looking through "myactivity" to find old thumbnails and what not. I rationalized this action by saying to myself "if I find them I will delete them so that I never see them again." Before too long I asked myself, "what am I doing, why dont I just delete my entire mactivity log all at once." So I did, and now the urge to fish in that manner is gone because there is nothing to find.

@jaberwaki already explained it, but I want to second it. You must be convinced of the wrongness and unhealthiness of porn and masturbation. And that allows for no subtleties in our language and how we talk about it.

Imagine how unhealthy it would sound if we were talking about meth or heroin highs in terms of sweet oblivion. It is the same.

Keep up the good work though!

Waves of turbulence will come, and there is nothing you can do to change that. You just are going to have to learn how to surf.

I spend the night at the old Watchtower of Amon Sûl. PMO forces are lurking in the area but they can't touch me.
