    hey
I'm serious and I want a real scientific resoning, I wanna know; is it possible for one to live without musturbation? I wanna take ur eperiences as a referance I want no lies. I read books about it and I had come to the conclusion that sperm ejacuation is as natural as all other things, they had gone even further in telling things about its benefits. you can check Dr theodor Reik's book called the psychology of relationships. he said that masturbation is a body stress releasing. How could I not believe them ? In the other hand, I've seen people going on long streaks of no MO. Guys I'm confused at this point and I think of nothing more than a clear answer of this topic. You could tell me that MO is harmful but can our body block it out, I mean can it respond to not doing it ?

Brother, first of all stop reading harmful theories of ignorant doctors who benefit from people's illnesses caused by indulging in masturbation. Science has become the idol of the modern society which has forsaken living God and is worshipping it. All of us are guilty of breaking the first commandment for we have created an idol to worship. And there is no need to block anything out for for your desire to indulge in lust-pmo stems from our degenerative society's culture worshipping sex and sexiness to ignite lust in the souls of people. You only need to block nakedness and sexual fantasies from your mind to get rid of this problem forever.

I don't see much confusion. If you're addicted to masturbation and can't control it then you can try nofap and quit it. If you aren't addicted to it and do it only when you really want to then there's not much to be worried. You're making it far more complicated than it really is.

  4. I was having the same conversation with my therapist few weeks ago, I asked her if I could masturbate while abstaining from porn and will it count as a relapse ??!! she told me it was fine and even encouraged me to release whenever I feel a strong urge. She is a certified psychiatrist and specialized in sex addictions. I don't understand why scientists and physicians are so fond of promoting it while I do feel that masturbation affects me negatively, it significantly affects my memory and make me less sharp, it gives me social anxiety and it weakens my body, It affects my sleep and it is addictive. I remember in my early teenage years, I used to masturbate abundantly without porn and it still had those effects on me. Moreover, I believe that getting back to masturbation after a long streak will do nothing but make you more likely to relapse on porn, as porn addicts we have made this neural connections between watching porn and using our hands to ejaculate, these pathways are strongly established and to weaken this we need to abstain from both. I also believe that our overly sexualized culture has been the driving force to make the consensus that we need to always rely on a regular sexual activity for us to live. It is stated everywhere, movies, series, news, social media. when the basic act of masturbating yourself in a dark room alone could have been looked at as futile in the past. who would have wasted his time and effort on that !!??, when he could have looked for a suitable mate and work.

    That's on point.
For me, there's no possibility to differ between an "urge of normal sexual relief" an an "urge for that addicted sick dopamine kick". Likely it's always the latter.
I know that if I would decide to masturbate without porn, I couldn't do it without having the memory of in the past consumed porn in my mind. Then it would only be a matter of time until I relapse completely.
The easiest hard thing is to make a clear cut and say you never masturbate again. So you're on the safe side for not slipping back into the addiction again.

I'm not a physician but I've gone through this experience and I totally tell you that what therapists were taught 20 years ago is incorrect.
Do you want to convince me that our brain won't get addicted to such an easy habit that makes it get pleased in 5 minutes? It doesn't make sense right?
I've been convincing myself that I'm controlling it until I wanted to quit forever, then I realized that I fell in my brain's trap. One week without M made me feel like I was a slave, I'm having way more energy now and I can focus more.

Even thought, It's practicing it without porn, It's basically the same porn just helps our brain imagine fantasies better but effects are the same.

Over 3 years in, no you don't need masturbation. Your body will release the excess whenever needed through wetdreams.

There have been scores of monks who lived their lives believing that refraining from spanking their monkey would get them closer to God or allow them to develop super powers.

So it definitely is possible, if you're properly motivated.

Be mindful about looking for excuses to continue your PMO addiction. In my early recovery, i did that too. Our brains are addicted to sex and they try to trick us into continuing acting out.

man that's a fair argument for me, as long as sciences can make mistakes and get involved in stupidity, I can personally relay on self-experience rather than some divided purposedly false theory. we all know about silly theory that was tought during 15 centuries about how the earth is the center of the universe and how the sun revolves around it. I daresay that nothing could be expolored through oneself body or psychology more accuretly and more truly than the person himself. It's a pretty common knowledge in science that masturbation is benefecial and thousands of books and articals have been written. Who knows what effect it can result than the person himself? U KNOW what, I'm actually convinced more than anytime of Masturbation sideeffects and about science foolness with all my respect.
