Hi guys back on this site after a long time. I am 38 and married with a 7 month old kid. Married life is great and my wife is wonderful, but I am addicted to porn, mainly lesbian porn. The impact of this is that our sex life has gone down to non existent, and when we do have sex, I can stay hard for more than a few minutes. I am not sure if my ED is porn induced or not, but I know for a fact that porn has destroyed my brain so much that it affects my intimacy with my wife. I am committing to no PMO for at least next 28 days. Will report progress and results

Hi @sali82. Yeah, it's very likely you've got PIED. I'd consider quitting porn for good if you feel it's the right time for you - porn kills your sex drive. Or at least it kills the drive to have sex with real, imperfect human beings.

I'm curious, your counter says you're 500+ days with no PMO - was that from last time and you've forgot to reset? Did you make it all the way to 500 days or did the counter just keep running?

Day 1 will be tough, as my wife will be gone for a few hours with our baby and I will have the whole house to myself. Normally this is the time when I succumb to my urges. Have to be strong. Maybe I will do 50 push-ups today to keep me focused

Day 1 went surprisingly well! My wife was out but I didn’t engage in PMO at all. First off I was busy at work and then I had some motivational stuff on my phone that I was listening to. Stuff like ted talks about P and also some stuff by Terry Crews. That really helped. I also decided to delete from my phone some other crutches that I had. For example I had some interactive stories app where I would follow lesbian storylines. I got rid of that. Next thing I have to be cognizant of is to not go looking for non P lesbian stuff either. For example trying to find lesbian content on YouTube or trying to watch female wrestling. I also tried to find and watch lesbian shows on Netflix. I have to put and end to it.

Consider yourself lucky you have someone who wants sex as an alternative to your porn habit.

I didn't have sex with my wife for over a year after our first child and she never regained her libido - porn is bad but it's all I got most of the time :(.

Haha true! Not sure if my wife will always be there to initiate things, if I keep being on the defensive about it she might just check out, then I will be in the same boat as you! Lol anyways day 2 is going well. Wife is out on a walk with the baby, and I am good by myself at home. Being doing push-ups and motivational audio, that helps

Day 2 went well, onto Day 3... I feel like I am feeling better but I already feel like I am losing my libido. Is that normal?

Yeah the ED thing is almost certainly porn induced. Depending on how long your addiction has been going, it will likely take a lot longer than 28 days to recover. That's not to say that aiming for 28 days isn't a good starting point - setting small goals and taking it one day at a time really works for some people, but be carfeful of just 'counting down' to a specified date as though when you reach it you'll then be free to fap away again. Curing PIED will take a serious long-term commitment that goes well beyond 28 or even 90 days.

Something that has been working for me when I'm at home alone lately is to just imagine what the people I care about would think of me if they could see me there, jeans around my ankles, dick in hand staring at the screen. What if my GF came home early and walked in - what a sight would I be. You have the added incentive of having a kid. Imagine when that kid is older. Do you really want to be the porn addicted father? Hiding your secret habit from not only your wife but also your kid? You don't want that.

You can do this. Just make the decision right now about what kind of man you want to be, and then be that man at all costs!

Thanks man! That’s exactly it, I have been imagining how my son would react if he ever knew, also I am running the risk of really affecting my marriage. So yeah thanks for laying it out like that for me

3 successful days done, it’s almost the weekend. I will end this thread here because I am going to start a journal under ‘Journals’ to chronicle my journey

I can tell you bro, porn will make you look at your wife much differently. After i quit porn after years of watching it i started enjoying "normal" woman more and more, if you want a AP i'll be glad to help even though i'm not even close to your age.
