    Hi all.
I have a question, and something to share.
First off, someone else linked a page from this website in another post. It's a great site with a lot of relevent and useful information, I thought it should be reposted so here it is.

    https://www.menshealthhandbook.org/prostatic-congestion

    https://www.menshealthhandbook.org/phyiscal-impacts-of-porn

My question (particularly for more experience guys here) is, how do you personally manage your prostate problems, particularly in the early days?

I think its safe to say that most men today have trained their prostate to overproduce due to excessive PMO, which then leads to issues when we try to quit it.

I am personally at the stage why my prostate is uncomfortably full by around the 10 day mark and after that, will start to leak seminal fluid at some really weird/random times.
If I have a sexual dream or become aroused in any way, the feeling of pressure down there become extremely uncomfortable. The easiest way to relieve that would be to masturbate but...thats exactly what we are trying to move away from!

So my question for guys who have been on this journey for a while - how did you manage the painful/swollen/leaking prostate in the early days, and how long did it take before your body adapted to the new way and things to stop feeling so uncomfortable down there? I really want to make this work but sometime the physical discomfort makes it just not worth it! :(

    Cheers guys!

I'm new here and don't have an answer, but I think you may have shed some light on my issues and biggest downfall. I relapsed from extreme discomfort/stimulation in what I think is the the area, especially around the taint/anus (as if I'm clenching down there/drawing up my balls). sitting on a bike is the absolute worst. It feels swollen, sensitive and with every throb it hurts within my anus/taint.

It drove me nuts after weeks of retention when every small movement of my pelvis or rubbing near the area (by even my underwear) was causing pain/throbbing or euphoric sensations. I couldn't take it anymore and gave in. I would be sitting in a chair and squirming around infinitely trying to resolve intense sensations, very embarrassing as well to be randomly ramping into arousal + couldn't keep boner away, idk how people would miss that my attention is on my privates.

For me it's a feeling more like I need to pee all the time, but more of a dull ache sensation. I've not had the problem with unwanted erections except while in bed - morning wood is a regular thing again, which hasn't been the case since I was in my early 20s. My balls can feel very tender at times then fine other times. Seminal fluid dribbles out of my dick pretty much every time I take a dump. I suffered weeks of the worst insomnia I've ever had at the beginning. This is all stuff that nobody warns you about! Why..?

There are literally hundreds of videos on youtube from guys going on about how much better their life is since they quit masturbation yet I don't think a single one of them really talks about or acknowleges the physical difficulties in doing so. Embarrasment maybe? Trying to appear better than they really are?
At the end of the day guys need to know how their junk works and what's actually going to happen when they do this, but it seems like hardly anyone actually wants to talk about this side of it.
Don't get me wrong, I am still 100% for quitting porn. You will be happier, healthier and more empowered, but when you make any dramatic change to your lifestyle, it is going to have an affect on your body too, any doctor will tell you that. I don't think there is enough info out there and it's setting us up to "fail" or at least to suffer while we try to improve our lives :emoji_disappointed:

I just have a question for you. I wouldn't mind if you ignored this.

Your streak is impressive, although the range specified is 500-1000 ("500+"). Can you specify the number?

I'm a 22-year-old virgin, and am currently on my second longest streak at 35 days (the longest one being 93 days long, ending a few months back).

Reading this scares me. I thought that I was done experiencing withdrawl symptoms. My last flatline happened a week prior and lasted only about 24-36 hours. It wasn't even a complete flat; I could get erect and somewhat aroused if I dipped my mind into fantasy land. Even my first flatline ever (in the old 93-day streak) only lasted 2-3 days and wasn't fully disabling. I was in an AP group where it seemed by the conversations that my mind and body were the least fucked up out of anyone in the group. I'm not sure if I'm more neuroplastic, less fucked by PMO, or both, but my recovery always seemed faster than other people's.

I haven't experienced any of the pains that you mentioned. Maybe they start later when I've been abstaining for hundreds of days? Maybe I didn't damage myself as much as others here? I was regularly PMOing, about 0-3 times a day and 6-15 times a week.

I've been getting extremely horny and having personality changes around women lately. Here's more of my situation if you're curious: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/i-woudlnt-be-able-to-resist-sex.305075/

I have no personal experience with it, but if your problems are related to pelvic tension, you can look up "kegel relaxation exercises" - someone else made a post on that somewhere on this forum, but you can simply google the exercises.
