    Hey brothers,

130 days of no porn, I MOed once on day 71, edged a handful of times in the first streak, which I know was not wise but at least I have not watched porn at all. I’ve learned from that though. Now, I’m at 58 days of semen retention(no edging at all and no indulgence in fantasy). I had a nocturnal emission 13 days ago(none sexual dream)

I had two weeks of happiness and stable mood, now about 2 weeks of unexplained anger. I’m also easily stressed again and two days ago I’m sure cortisol released because my brain has been foggy for the passes two days. The cortisol released during a workout, not to a natural degree, i tried working out with light weights again and sadly..I still can’t. Sticking to light cardio and Yoga for a while I guess. For reference I meditate every day nearing 1 hour a day in split portions, I eat a healthy diet and don’t consume alcohol or drugs. The last 3 days have just been tough, my brain feels on slow motion and my head hurts.

Is it normal to be going through another wave of brain fog?

I never made the association between brain fog and cortisol before - but that really resonates with me!

Glad you're sticking with the yoga, it is still great for your physical health.

Thank you brother! I’ll ride it out.

Thank you brother, yeah this withdrawal period has really made me develop a better understanding of a few things that happen.
Yes, it’s an important association because cortisol levels increase when you’re in withdrawal from any addiction, since we are no longer using our crutch to cope with stress.

I have been researching online and stumbled upon something interesting.
There’s a few studies on fish oil supplements reducing mental stress response and cortisol release, providing the body with a lot of anti inflammatory agents. There’s been a few various studies showing it decreases the stress felt for an individual. One was a group of students and another I read was for alcoholics going through withdrawal. The group of alcoholics that supplement with fish oil a day had quite a noticeable decrease in stress, anxiety and cortisol levels vs those given olive or sunflower oil(can’t rmb which) Also, lower anger outbursts which is also tied to cortisol.

I just bought two supplements , one of Krill oil and the other of fish oil today. I’m hoping I’ll notice a difference with time. I personally only recently introduced salmon to my diet (1 day a week for a month now) so I know I’m not getting enough of DHA and EPA. I will make a post in a month if I see a difference.
