You can see my journey here.

I've finally made it: 30 days without porn.

It wasn't easy especially in the beginning days, and now I'm sure that I can make 90 days challenges more easily.

Anyway, I believe that I still need to "reboot" my mind. 30 days is not enough.

So far, these are the things I've realized about myself:

    - Less social anxiety (I still have only a smaaaaaall feeling).
    - Less anxiety.
    - More motivation than before (It's growing).
    - Less feeling lazy.
    - I can do eye contact easily than before and even with strange people.
    - Less feeling shy (it's almost 0).
    - Less overthinking about scenarios that may happen or that may not happen especially with people. (ideas like: what if ...).
    - coming back to reading books habit (I read every night now).
    - I feel more confident than before.

Interesting because now that I'm on day 23, I'm experiencing most of the things you've listed... It's very strange why we feel like this when abstaining from PMO.

Probably the only thing I don't do from this list, is reading books at night. I do read a bunch of textbooks during the day though.

  4. I was just contemplating a relapse but when I came across your amazing journey, I couldn't help but keep reading, I really like your style and how you were able to plan and execute and keep vigilant. It gave me hope and inspired me to keep going no matter how hard it may get. I was relating to everything you were mentioning especially as a student with final exams coming in a matter of few weeks. Off to the Moon we go, buddy !!

  9. That's great progress, let's keep it going! I noticed that my anxiety started to get reduced as well, I used to feel like I was trembling before I would have to teach (I'm a teaching assistant as part of a grad school program) now I just get a slight feeling of nervousness that can easily be overcome. Same thing when I meet with my supervisor.
I totally agree with what you are saying, 30 days is not enough. We have to keep going until our minds are healed

Yeah, bro! Congrats! I have also experienced a big change in my life. Almost 30 days of no PMO. I have realized I can talk confidently with very beautiful girls now. No anxiety. Interacting freely with people. Composed. More strong eye contact. Enjoying other peoples' company. No need to watch movies to feel nice. PMO was killing me. Not any more.

Yes, we need to trick our brains that way. Let it know that there is nothing like P and M. We can control it

You are starting to feel like yourself. You can finally start to discover your true personality and character, what you like to do in life and what you don’t. This is only the beginning. Porn had kept you small, it turned you into a lesser being. You may not be aware of the things you are capable of. You may have a life ahead of you that you didn’t expect from yourself at all. Not so strange, because you never really knew yourself.

It is normal to have eye contact with other people, wether they are strangers or not.

Your personality is now starting to develop. This is a process that takes a very long time. Your self-image will slowly change. Think about it: how much can you grow and develop yourself as a person within a few months? Not that much I’d say. I hope you can leave that shit behind you for good and start living your true life eventually. A process that will not take place overnight but definitely worth the effort.

Great job everyone! These success stories are sometimes more encouraging than someone saying, "Don't fap."

It's proof of a better future :) Keep living healthy!

Bit before the pandemic I developed agoraphobia, and the pan just made it worse. I wouldn’t even mow the lawn, since I just didn’t want to be seen or have the opportunity to chat with my neighbors. During my 35 day journey so far, I make it a point to go outside everyday and walk the dog out in some trails once a week, and no anxiety at all the entire time. Rediscovered my love for climbing trees and such as well
