At around 60 days, if you’ve not ejaculated, sperm reaches its full level of maturity that is ideal for having a baby.

The problem is guys relapse too soon to even reach spermatogenesis.

Is there any research about that?

    There is.

  7. Spermatogenesis takes 74 days to achieve. You're off to a wrong start.

74? Okay, I had the exact number wrong, my bad.

  9. Spermatogenesis is a continuous process. You cannot "reach" it. It's not like your body waits 74 days and then makes a sperm; it is in a state of dynamic continuity with sperm acquiring maturity at every moment in time.

What you mean to say is that less volume of mature sperm exists at any given point in time.

  10. That's fine. I'm not trying to antagonize you. I'm just saying you were off by a whole fortnight, a number of days most people here can't even achieve in the first place.

Good discussion. Let's keep it going. I'll point you in the correct direction. There is much for us to learn.

So what's the big hoopla about 90 days in the semen retention world? Does it have anything to do with sprematogenesis? Or is at all just anecdotal reports of subjective benefits?

I'm in the dark when it comes to the sciency/factual aspect of semen retention so I'd really appreciate an informed breakdown if anyone is in the know. Thanks

  12. Yes spermatogenesis is a continuous process but not sure if nightfalls have some effect on it or not. Well yeah, very little to no sperms come out in a wetdream but still not conclusive evidence is there to support wetdreams don't affect this process.

  13. Isn't that funny? It's purely anecdotal. That speaks volumes about what this forum is founded upon.

Read your brain on porn. It's scientific in its approach, but terribly linear in its considerations as well. Nevertheless, it is a must-read.
