It puzzles me how guys suffering with ed, PIED aren't more or at least the same percentage as guys not suffering with ed, PIED.

But strangely the guys suffering with ed, PIED seem to be in a small minority.

That's not to say that a lot of guys don't suffer with ed, PIED. But it seems to be a much smaller minority of guys that suffer with it compared to the guys that don't suffer with it.

Like you said the average guy is masturbating on average 3 times a day. Most likely to porn and artificial sexual stimulation. Yet it is only a small minority of guys that suffer with ed and PIED. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I would say with the way the internet is these days, the amount of high speed sexual novelty we all have access to, the amount the average guy is masturbating to porn and artificial sexual stimulation, that statistically more guys should suffer with ed and PIED than what don't suffer with it. Or at the very least I think it should be 50/50.

But like I said the guys suffering with ed and PIED are in a much smaller minority.

It just doesn't make any sense.

  10. Frequency of doing something doesn't have to be an indication of addiction. Addiction means loss of control despite negative consequences. If people are bored and have too much time on their hands, they do things more often than usual. Doesn't mean someone who does something often is addicted. I spend more time playing video games these days, but I could stop easily if I would start to neglect my own health or social/financial/educational responsibilities.

3 times a day was when i had my deepest addiction, i don't think that the average person does so

i think once a day is already too much, which is what i am usually a part of

3 times a day being stuck in the house the majority of the time with access to anything you want online sounds about right I would say.

I would say about 1 time a day for being busy out the house most days.

But from my own personal experience if what you can access on the internet is restricted then this massively reduces the amount I PMO and MO.

I just relapsed today and I was so focused on the short term pleasure rather than what will happen after.

i think PIED is very much underdiagnosed.

I don’t have hard data either, but coming from anecdotal data, conversation with fellow mates, I have seen that PIED is quite common. Especially if considering not as a permanent condition, but as intermittent. Young people (25-30) using Viagr# to compensate, or not being able to cum while having a sexual relation, is quite common, much more than what I think surveys say. It’s specially difficult as surveys rely on self-report (sometimes, conscious or unconsciously, a man with PIED would never accept or label himself as having it), and also the amount of people that look for this kinds of treatment in the medical, i don’t think is the majority either. And nowadays is so easy to get or viagr# or other medication

No, the average person isn't an addict.
You're an addict when shit gets in the way of your life or when you start neglecting your health. You play games rather than doing your studies/going to work, don't eat proper meals or even eat at all in a day and going out with friends? Yeah, you're addicted.

You masturbate 1-3x a day but go to work, have a good social life, do your studies, have decent grades and work out regularly? No, you aren't addicted. This even applies to pornography.

I kind of disagree. I mean you could get a functioning addict. So an alcoholic who still holds down a job, has a social life etc, but heavily drinks alcohol everyday. Then someone who holds down a job, has a social life, but heavily binges on PMO everyday.

I mean of course an addict who can still hold down a job, have a social life, take care of other areas of their life is better than an addict who has messed up most or all other areas of their life because of their addiction.

But I do believe you get addicts who still have other areas of their life in check.

You are basically saying if someone is an addict then they will of definitely messed up most or all other areas of their life. I'm not saying this doesn't happen. But what I am saying is you do get addicts who have other areas of their life in check, but they are still an addict.

The number of advertisements for dik pills on the internet would seem to indicate that ED is a much more widespread problem than people are willing to admit

That’s a terrible stat, the sad thing is that there is still going to be an entire generation of boys who will turn into young men who have Erectile Dysfunction and PIED issues, entirely caused by porn and excessive masturbation to it..and they don’t know they harm they are doing to themselves.

I count myself as one of the lucky ones to have made a full recovery from PIED and I now have a healthy sex life with my girlfriend. We have made progress as a society because 15-20 years ago forums like this never existed and “PIED” wasn’t even really known to be a thing.

Hearing that so many still jack off multiple times daily brings me back to such a dark place in my life, I wish it upon nobody.

This is a terrible stat but I can't help thinking, for the guys who stay clean and can get it up, can you imagine what a "competitive advantage" that will be. Say you're with a chick and the last couple guys she's with had ED. She gets with you and you're rock hard as soon as you start making out and stay hard for however far it goes. That will make her feel incredibly attractive (yes guys, women do take your ED personally), and you will instantly be high value in her eyes. The more PMO addicted guys are out there, the more appealing, in contrast, the men will be who can "function" as they were designed to.
