    Reset.

From now on I'll apply the 10+5 minutes rule:
When I have urges to watch porn, to look at subs or to masturbate I'll do this routine:
    1. 10 minutes urge surfing
    2. 5 minutes MEANINGFUL activity
    I'll report about it here.

I got the 10-minute-rule from Nir Eyal, author of the book Indistractable. He also recommends the following practice: reimagining triggers, reimagining tasks and reimagining our temperament.
I tried to fit it into a neat ritual:

    TRIGGER AWARENESS TOOL

Long version, for porn-related triggers and temptations

    1. Reimagine the trigger, temperament and feelings

    2. Ask yourself why you felt like that / why you were triggered and write down the answer

    3. 10 minutes urge surfing

    4. 5 minutes MEANINGFUL activity (i.e. cleaning, exercise ..)

    5. Reimagine the task and be positive about it!

    6. Get back to your schedule or make a plan (even if it contains acting out!*)

    7. Make a note about how well you stuck to this tool and if/how it helped you

    * In case of a relapse

    BEFORE:
    1. write down what your reasons are

    2. set a timer
    AFTER
    1. write down your actions in detail without judging yourself

    2. you don‘t need to spend your time soul-searching or regretting or making promises now. Instead focus on what you want to do next and on how to prevent more impulsive action

    3. Stay positive
