    Hello again fellow rebooters.

I'll try to keep this one short. I am a 28year old male who has had a porn addiction for over 15 years. I have been free of porn for 10 months. I am not necessarily participating in Nofap, the first 100 days i did not mastrubate, and after , when i regained some libido, I try not to, but i do mastrubate around 1-4 times a month.
My main focus is to stay away from porn, conquer PIED and take back my life.

Thusfar, after 5-6 tries, I have not been able to have penetrative sex.
The person i try with knows everything and i am very comfortable with her. but still unable to get or maintain an erection. I'm pretty sure i have performance anxiety even though she supports me every step.

Last week I went to the doctor and told him my story, he tells me for a healthy person my age it is mostly due to stress and anxiety.
So i was prescribed dick pills, not necessarily a pill that gives me an erection, but one that boosts blood flow and libido.
His theory is that i would gain some confidence from this and get over my anxiety.
Though i am hesitant to take the pills, as i would much more be able to get erections the natural way.

I am currently at 10 months no porn, I will try to abstain from mastrubating from now on. I do feel mentally a lot stronger than i used to, penis health is a lot better then 10 months ago, but not yet where it's supposed to be. I have morning erections but not consistent.

What are your thoughts on this?

  2. I kinda agree with your doctor. I am not sure the dick pills will actually help (Gary Wilson for example claims that it wouldn't, since PIED is just in your head and not about physical body functions and blood flow), but there is no harm trying.
At the very least, they might remove some of the lingering doubts keeping you from having an errection.

Seriously: There is nothing to lose, nothing to be ashamed of and no harm in trying! You are, in fact, in an excellent position, having an understanding partner and 10 months on your track record. 9 out of 10 Fapstronauts would love to be in your position.
Just give it a try. And maybe once you had sex with those pills and "broke the curse" you will be able to do it without.

  3. Depending on the severity of your addiction it can take much longer than 10 months to regain full sexual function.

If you're with a partner it might be worth a shot to see if dick pills can jump start the engine, so to speak. However my advice would be to stop masturbating completely.

    I'm trying to, i really am :p

I'll try to abstain from mastrubating from now on, and since it'll be a while until i see my gf again. It'll be another mini reset.
I'll see at the time if i wanna try with the pills or not. If it works it works.

If any of you got some tips on performance anxiety, lemme know.

I have used pills before and they worked. I think, although cannot be sure, that my trouble was largely performance anxiety because of all my previous failure due to PIED. I was at least 6 months into hardmode at that point and after using the pills a few times I got comfy with the girl and found out that I didn't need them anymore. So yeah I think it's a sound way to get over the performance anxiety. As a side note I also used them when I was deep into porn, could not get it up and they worked quite well.

In the end i couldn't get hard to porn either.
I'll probably give the pills a try when the chance occurs.

You could always try l-citrulline, it increases blood flow as well and found at the vitamin stores. It's a less hardcore alternative I would think.
