Relasping after a high streak, asking for help

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Apr 10, 2021.

  1. What's up everybody. I've started doing NoFap a couple of summers ago. After hundreds of tries, I was able to achieve a 154-day streak in 2019. However, I of course relapsed and broke that streak, and went on a binge spiral. Then, I dusted myself off and achieved a 283-day streak that ended at the beginning of 2021. I relapsed again, out of depression and loneliness that ended by 283-day streak. I kept relasping a lot like every week since then. I need help. I really want to overcome this.

To reach such a high streak and then relapse might suggest your 'why' is not strong enough?

    • Why are you doing NoFap?
    • Why do you continue to relapse consistently?
You say "of course you relapsed" as if it was a part of the plan?

Well done on dusting yourself off and getting back on the horse, but I think until you really understand why you are undertaking NoFap you remain at risk of relapsing. Maybe you need to hit a point in your journey where you are so sick of relapsing that you put yourself on a final streak. A streak that you know you will not break and that you are wholeheartedly committed to.

Find and understand why you are undertaking these streaks and get back on the horse. Forget your previous streaks and binges, and do your best to make the next streak your final one.

    Good Luck!

Have u tried going to the gym?

After starting nofap, the gym was what gave me a big boost in self confidence.

  4. I actually go to the gym twice a week. And I also run twice a week. Could it be that I am not working out enough?

  5. Thank you, I didn't think about this!

It looks so to me. I mean, seeing myself as muscular gave me a big big boost in self confidence, u think that would work for u?

To me 2 days are not enough to build good muscles.

Obvuoisly the kind of training depends. Are u skinny? Chubby?
If ure skinny i would cut off the running, if u prefer to be muscular.
It depends on your body type, and the result u want to reach.
