No benefits at all

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Deleted Account, Apr 10, 2021.

  1. My 30 (1 month) is going to complete tommorow, but I am not noticing even a signal benefit, I had a night fall on my day 10 and have edged at day 14 but without porn. I even left playing video games to save my dopamine reserves. Please tell me what can I do to improve my nofap journey

  2. What is it that you thought you would get? I’m just wondering what your expectations are or what is it you want to happen?

  4. I see, well that can vary greatly depending on several factors, how frequent you used porn, the length of your sessions, the material you were into; diet, exercise & generally speaking your “mentality” or the thoughts you most tend to tell yourself can all play into brain fog. The last one, mentality, is typically the least thought of but along with the kind of diet you have the single most important factor to brain fog. Simply because the mentality or thought that we hold onto or tell ourselves have such an impact in how we see the world and interact with it.

But getting back to porn addiction simply enough... these things take time.
-30 days is the start of the beginning
-90 days is nearing the end of the beginning
The rest of your life porn free is the remainder of the journey. Thats just the truth of this.

Stop edging, that’s horrible for you. Took my husband 4-6 months just to get past withdrawals. After 6 months we began to see changes. Biggest changes began at a year. Even more now 2 1/2 years later.

Possibly your brain fog is caused by something else. It's good to continue the nofap efforts if you are able, because that gives you a more stable neurotransmitter environment for experimenting with other possible causes.

Here is one list of possible causes for brain fog:

Here is an even more detailed list with a lot of good suggestions:

Why do you assume benefits after 30 days? I've only ever heard here that benefits come from 90-day reboot No PMO?

So you are very young, right? You have not had you’re addiction as long as many others on here. It stands to reason you have not had the same repercussions as so many do. You may not notice as big a change because of this. However, you are destroying your mind at a time while it is still growing, maturing, learning. Do whatever it takes to stop now. Ask for help. You have a chance that many older men did not get, you know it’s an addiction and can reach out for help.

Hey man, 30 days is only the beginning. It’d help to know how long you’ve been addicted for. Because that effects everyone’s recovery process and how extreme things may be.

  11. I have been watching porn from last year due to lockdown this bad habit caught me. But I was not watching porn regularly there was a gap of 3 - 4 days between my relapses

To be honest, if it's so difficult for u, do not cut out porn and videogames at the same time, it will be too hard.
Just concentrate yourself to cut out pmo, but let yourself use videogames.

    First things first.

Luckily for you, thats good news, bro. You caught on to this early. The ‘benefits’ of no pmo might not seem extreme but you’re stopping something that could spiral your life out of control. I’m 18 and I began when i was like 13. I didn’t even know how bad it was until 16 and by then I was already hooked. So you’re lucky fr, keep pushing! Don’t stress the days too much, just know it’s a lifestyle. You don’t ever have to go back to porn again. :)

And what was the tell tell sign that you have officially crossed over that line which says you are rebooted?

  18. Before that i went on serious withdrawals, that have progressively vanished within couple of days. The next morning i woke up feeling better about myself, with huge drive to learn, improve myself. See things more clearly and differently, kind of like seeing a more clearer picture of the negatives in my life that i wanted to eliminate. I was eager on learning new things, meeting new people and becoming the best that i wanted to be. Like a clear focus goal
I could maintain conversations more confidently and i was overall more happier. No drive or need to watch porn at all, it would rather seem boring to what life has to offer. More eager to face reality than to run to comfort.

I just sensed it deeply within and i was glad that there was a huge weight off my shoulder taken off, feeling normal was something i never felt before. That's how i knew it
