Quick fantasy-free masturbation a valid strategy?

    My goal is to cure my PIED, but I'm not necessarily anti-masturbation or anti-porn per se. I was on a 7-day streak with no porn, no intentional fantasy, no masturbation. But on the 8th day, sexy fantasies kept intruding into my mind all day. That night, the fantasies became more prevalent, and I couldn't sleep. Also, I had read somewhere that it's edging to fantasy that's a problem, rather than orgasm. And I figured that my temptation to fantasize would subside after orgasm. So that night, I masturbated whilst filling my mind with non-sexual imagery like airplanes landing, in order to avoid fantasizing. I orgasmed in 10 seconds. It seems to have worked, as I was no longer fantasizing afterward. But I did grip harder than usual unfortunately.

    Did I slip up and ruin my rewiring progress? Or can I do this again to kill the temptation to fantasize next time it arises? The 10 seconds masturbating to non-sexual inanimate objects felt good, and I don't know if I slowed my rewiring.

    I don't really think it is a big deal what you did.

    I agree that it is mainly edging and binging on PMO that is the main problem. Binging on MO could be a problem to though.

    I do tend to find that most of the time after I ejaculate it satisfies me, and I no longer care about PMO, MO at this point. So when I ejaculate just by MOing.

    But something you said where you imagined non sexual imagery, so like airplanes etc. I personally can't see you being able to do that every time you masturbate. I think you will start thinking about sexual imagery. But even still I don't necessarily think this is the worst thing in the world, depending on what you are thinking about and your style of masturbation. I think if you are ejaculating quickly it's not as big a deal. But if you edge while MOing imagining all sorts of sexual fantasies in your mind, like porn like fantasies, jumping from one sexual thought to another and taking a while to ejaculate, and doing this multiple times etc. This definitely isn't good.

    But I do believe for myself getting the ejaculation over quickly seems to be the best thing for me getting over urges etc. So for instance I have really wanted PMO, but I have MOed instead, and within a few minutes I ejaculate, and then I don't care about the PMO, and usually for the rest of the day I no longer care about PMO, MO, or a sexual release.

    You actually made me think of something that I think could actually really help me out. If there was some sort of pill where if you took it once it kicked in it literally causes you to ejaculate. So makes you ejaculate from not even touching your self or fantasising about anything. I honestly think something like that would actually really help me out. Because as I said 9 times out of 10 I no longer care about PMO, MO, sexual release after I ejaculate. But I don't think there is such a thing that can do this, something you can take that literally causes a guy to ejaculate as soon as it kicks in. But I honestly do believe if there was something like that available, that it would really help me out.

    Thanks. I was gripping.g harder than usual to get to orgasm as quickly as possible, before my mind could wander to any female. I figured that the amount of dopamine raised during 10 seconds of non-sexual MO is less than the dopamine raised during hours of trying to stop sexual fantasies. I hope I'm right about the logic and science on this.

    I think what you did is lot better than PMO.
    But if you're an PMO addict you might have unhealthy connection to masturbation that could be strengthened with masturbation too, because your brain has associated it with porn many times before.
    You didn't ruin your rewiring progress. Maybe slowed it a little. You gripped harder than usual and that might mean you lost little control in the situation and let your old habits guide you. If that happened it slows the progress a little.
    In the end MO as you described is lot better PMO and if that's something that helped you to not severely relapse it was good thing.
    If you allow yourself to M be careful not to make it a habit and keep it healthy.
