Is there any point in me doing nofap?

Sup guys, I'm looking for some advice on whether or not I should keep doing this. I've been fapping for only like 5 years or so(since I was 14) and I do it 3-4 times a week, but then I came across some videos talking about nofap and the benefits of doing it. It never crossed my mind that I might have a problem with porn/masturbation(I might since I have like 100gb of porn) so I haven't fapped in 7 days to see what happens. Now I'm starting to think that these "superpowers" are a load of manure and don't really see a point in me doing nofap anymore since I never considered it a problem.
So what do you guys think, is nofap for me or should I stop?

You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Why not try out a new lifestyle and see if its a change you want to make permanently. But it's up to you to decide if you truly want to do NoFap or not. Some of these so called "superpowers" take time to reveal themselves and they're like tools in your toolbox. You still have to go out and execute them to make a difference. But I suggest you just keep learning more about NoFap and see if it's a lifestyle you want to live or not. Keep going and see if you notice any changes that are a positive effect on your life.

Try it out for 3 more weeks dude.

Besides, what's there to lose from stopping yourself from watching nekkid people? Think of the cool stuff you could do with all that extra time.

It's really up to you mate. It's your call.

It is unlikely you would be able to quit if you weren't aware you had a problem. If you've watched the Gary Wilson TED talk, have you questioned: "does this apply to me"? If not, then by all means, keep fapping. There's nothing stopping you.

But you should be aware, that compulsive PMO use can have some pretty serious consequences such as erectile dysfunction, delayed ejaculation, desensitization, porn induced depression and social anxiety, to name a few. For more info on these terms go to this site. Having 100GB of porn on your computer is a fairly obvious sign of a compulsive porn habit. Just something for you to bear in mind.

As for superpowers, well they're overrated and superficial. But most users here have reported some pretty astonishing benefits they've noticed from quitting. For example, here's my list of benefits from quitting PMO:

Benefits of nofap I have noticed so far:
    • A sense of masculinity
    • I no longer feel empty, both physically and emotionally
    • Greater confidence
    • Clearer mind
    • Better self discipline
    • Good control over objectification of women
    • I'm enjoying life more, as I feel more comfortable in my own skin
    • A general sense of calm
    • I'm taking better responsibility for myself

NoBrainer summed up a lot of points I'd have made, but I'd like to add a few.

Firstly, you might not find it a problem now, but spend a little time on these forums, and you'll read about marriage breakdowns, crippling insecurities, health issues, relationship struggles, sexual performance woes putting a strain on partnerships, and a whole host of other situations caused by an addiction to PMO.

Look past the benefits to your mind and health (that some people call 'superpowers' here). Being addicted to anything is never a good thing - and its important to understand that PMO is an addiction that carries side effects.

Of course, your life is your choice: but I can't rave on enough about how much my life is better since I quit over a year ago. Just knowing that I'm in control of myself, my desires and what my mind is focused on is a good enough reason for me to never go back to it. Not to mentioned the host of other benefits to my mind and health.

    All the best.

I wish I could have known at 19 what I know now. I was invincible then. I'd even watch porn with girlfriend then. It was fun and harmless and exciting. Then you grow a little, get a career, things really get moving in your life. One day you wake up and realize the thing that's holding you back from really being a man, the thing that your still doing from adolescents is PMO. So you "quit". Then you realize it isn't that easy. It's HARD. your addicted after years of innocent fun. Stop while your ahead. Realize that the hold on your mind and spirit is great. I don't mean spirit in the religious sense (although my story involves a huge religious component), I mean spirit in the man that you are. Your better than objectifying women. Your man enough to beat those thoughts and feelings. You are in control, not some chemicals in your body. Stop while you are ahead.
