  2. Being able to focus and to process (and ACCEPT!) negative emotions are paramount to well-being and productivity in my opinion.

  3. Important skills for what exactly?
If just to get through life, being able to let go and only think about shit you can control rather than worrying about what has happened, is happening and will happen that you cant do anything about.

  4. So being able to Focus and Mastering the Emotion are crucial in our daily lives, right ?

How can you achieve that than ?

  5. For combat rogue, start with Improved Sinister Strike and Improved Gouge, then Dual Wield Specialization 5/5. You can pick up Imp. Slice and Dice later but that's not important immediately.

In the modern era, I genuinely don't think there's a better necessary skill than discipline, focus, and intentional living. Do those count?

Honestly, every man I've met who considered himself a victim has always lacked one and almost certainly all three of these skills. In ancient times to even the near present, even a king that lived in luxury had to face responsibility and enormous horrors in the world. Nowadays, someone with no job and no worth to society can live in a fantasy videogame world with porn and pleasure with no inertia from the outside world. These people though, when you push them with the mildest touch, will usually break out with a statement about resentment and bitterness towards their situation.

Read difficult books or books about difficult things, learn how to love learning, and constantly pay attention to where you are directing your attention.

That Jocko Willinck book "Discipline Equals Freedom" is one of the truest statements, and so necessary to the modern world it's almost absurdly funny.

  8. Ex wow addict. It's strange - I wish I could play that now, but something is preventing me from doing it. I feel like deep down I know I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I did when I was a kid. And that kind of ruins it.

  9. Yeah I thought about getting into those old-school RPGs, but right now I'm trying to quit games.

  10. You've made a really good point, I can sense wisdom in every word. You are completely right, many people lack these important tools nowdays, I took note from your own words. Thanks for sharing this wounderful information, I really appreciated it.

Thats very kind of you, thanks. I wasn’t expecting that reaction, but I’m glad you got something out of that. I wrote that with a lot of thoughts about my own pain and struggles and those I see in others.
