Alternatives for Masturbation: The Double Edged Sword.

    Quick Warning: Before I go any further this topic is going to cover butt stuff & other things that may be possibly triggering. I don't support either of these but I've experienced both of them.

    Double Edged Sword:
    I use this because both ways are different from masturbation & can be possible. However they both may or may not have consequences, for me I've got an addictive personality so I got "hooked" onto both strategies for a while.

    What am I covering: I'm going to cover what it is, why it's an alternative, how frequently I can do it, does it come with bad habits, & is it addictive.

    Side 1, Nocturnal Emission: You may know this strategy by it's normal name "Wet Dreams". Nocturnal Emission is when someone is asleep & has a sudden orgasm or ejaculation. Why is it an alternative? Well because you really can't control them, they happen out of the blue. But for some folks Nocturnal Emission is a good thing, it's a sign of you doing something right in your NoFap Journey. Usually, men will have 1 at the earliest of halfway through the week & at the latest 1-2 months difference. However, women can only have a handful during the year. The only bad habits I can see are the ways that they actually occur. For me, I've got what's called a buried penis so whenever I lie on my side & do have a wet dream I hump, which causes the orgasm. Other folks may do other things that cause the orgasm. Lastly, are they addictive? Depends on the person. For someone who's never had 1 maybe. (personal experience) when I got my first regular Nocturnal Emission I was desperately trying to get another one. Edging or peeking before I went to bed, laying on my stomach. Everything I could but nothing. So I just tried to let & happen, but I got desperate so I moved onto the or side to try to orgasm.

    Side 2, Prostate & Butt Stuff: It's main definitions are "Prostate Milking & Prostate Massaging". The Prostate is what holds the majority of the fluids that comes with the semen in ejaculation. Both male & female have 1. It's between your genitals & your anus, it feels like a hard nut once you found it. Prostate simulation itself is a way to simulate the penis & cause semen to be extracted via urination. It prevents wet dreams & keeps the fluid going. I would have to say that stimulation can be done as frequently as 3 times a week to be considered healthy. However majority of the time if you want to avoid PMOing only getting to a point where you feel the urge to pee is a good place to stop. At that point your not going to reach a climax if you stop & can go urinate. As fun as prostate simulation sounds it can be quiet dangerous if not done properly. The insides of your anus are quite fragile & could be cut quite easily, cuts could result in infections & that's an awkward situation to explain to the doc. That & also for folks that have HOCD prostate simulation is the exact opposite things they want todo, If not done in a healthy way like Porn you may go further with it. (personal experience) I myself started to go down a rabbit hole with this, first prostate simulation, then reading captions to get into the moment, then moaning while reading & stimulating, Then having an urge to try homosexual intercourse. Enough about me, back to the main point. Is it addictive? Hard yes. I've been talking to a guy about this stuff & I've been telling him that it's replacing cigarettes with vaping. It's better then the other option but you have to drop it eventually.

    Which of the 2 is better? : Without a doubt trying (and not forcing) to have wet dreams is better. You make wake up in the morning (or some weird time) with a hot mess but it's better then sticking things in your butt. However to actually achieve wet dreams takes time. And if your worried about the mess try the other. But at the end of the day You are you, everyone does things a little differently then others.

    Anal masturbation is still masturbation. You covered some problems with it. For me it always ended with desire for normal orgasm. I also tried dry orgasms, but effect was similar. The problem with all alternatives is that you are still arousing yourself sexually and it disrupts recovery and makes it harder.

    You may see many poorly written articles saying we do, but human anatomy will say otherwise.

    Let me share with you the BEST (in my opinion) ALTERNATIVE to either of the above-mentioned. Instead of suppressing your sexual energy it can and must be channeled and transmuted in a healthy way. Use your energy instead of wasting it. It is there for a reason. It is the 6th Tibetan rite from the legendary book by Peter Kelder The Eye of Revelation. Highly recommended. Turned my first 2-year nofap streak into a breeze.

    The 6th Tibetan Rite is simplicity itself. Here is an excerpt from Colonel Bradford's narration
    "It should be practiced only when you feel an excess of sexual energy..." "Stand straight up and slowly let all of the air out of your lungs...bend over and put your hands on your knees...with the lungs empty, return to a straight up posture. Place your hands on your hips, and press down on them... As you do this, pull in the abdomen as much as possible, and at the same time raise the chest.
    ...
    hold this position as long as you possibly can.
    ...
    take air into your empty lungs, let the air flow in through the nose. When the lungs are full, exhale through the mouth. As you exhale, relax your arms... Then take several deep breaths through the mouth or nose, allowing them to escape through either the mouth or nose."

    You have completely missed the point in your opening post. These things are satisfying your brain's craving for dopamine. They are solo sexual experiences and will not help you to reboot. I do not recommend these methods.

    looks like I unintentionally stirred up the hornets nest with this post.

    Wet dreams aren’t really “bad” if there natural. At this point I’ve experienced them & all they do is leave a mess. However when trying to force them it’s basically Just setting up for a relapse.

    Prostate stimulation is an “alternative”, but it’s replacing a bad habit with a bad habit. I forgot to add the other phrase for it. Anal Masurbation. It has the word it if that explains if it’s bad or not.
