    Hi,

I have come to this website in search of help. During the last months I have experienced nocturnal emissions almost every night. That's not normal at all. These nocturnal emissions are accompanied by erotic dreams. Keep in mind, i don't masturbate, neither do i watch porn, nor have any kind of sexual intercourse with someone. I stopped my addictions 2 years ago, I am 16 years old, and I firmly believe that I have a problem. Can any of you offer advice or ideas on why this keeps happening to me? This incident didn't happen to me before.

    Anything is appreciated, thanks.

I had the exact same problem, even when I was abstaining from porn. Admittedly, I couldn't stay away from porn for more than a month. But now, after abstaining from porn for 7 months, I only have nocturnal emissions once every 3 weeks or once a month, which is normal. I'm afraid abstaining from porn is not enough. If you really want to solve this issue, you need to stay away from erotic materials, altogether. This means not looking at naked/nude photos online or even a suggestive video. This is called edging and it deters your brain from being rewired. Going hard mode and controlling edging really makes a difference. You need to change your lifestyle. Meditate, write in your diary daily and try to be as spiritual as you can be. Have patience and never lose hope. If I could do it, so can you.

Didn't think about meditating, that may help. Thank you for your response, much appreciated.

Dont worry, this is more normal than you think. In fact, it happens to me fairly often, and comes and goes in waves. It just means your body wants more release than you are giving it (which by the sounds of it is no release) and it is making it happen by itself. There is no "normal" amount of emissions for a person to have, but at the age of 16 having so many is annoying but not harmful. If you are eager to reduce the amount you have, try to reduce your fluid intake before bed, wear looser clothing in bed to avoid friction as much as possible, and go to bed with a clear head. Try to keep erotic thoughts to as much of a minimum as you possibly can. When you wake in the morning, get up right away. In my experience the majority of my dreams occur in that half asleep limbo that occurs when I wake in the early hours.
